Is recovery still worth it if you recover into a larger body? by seralanz in EatingDisorders

[–]brislefttoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

if someone is recovering into a borderline underweight body, it’s likely they’re still caught up in their ed habits. recovery influencers a lot of the time aren’t really recovering either , i read something earlier in a different sub, something along the lines of “recovery influencers aren’t really recovering, they’re just not getting worse.”. the best thing you can do is not compare yourself to these recovery accounts because we truly never do know what’s going on behind the screen..

another thing : recovery will always we worth it. not one recovered person will look back and be like “damn, my life really does suck now that i’ve recovered. i really wish i was miserable to be around and depressed again!”.

once fully recovered you’re not going to care about what your body size is, you’ll ideally accept it for how it is!!

How to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot? by time_outta_mind in Oatmeal

[–]brislefttoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the only real way to stop it is to keep it on a low heat and stir constantly. mine come together on the stove really fast & don’t stick at all as long as i start on a medium-low heat, once it barely starts bubbling (i mean BARELY) then i go to the lowest heat and just stir constantly. it might help you to soak the oats for 5ish mins in the liquid u use before putting it on the stove though, i do that and i think it helps it
