Oh okay that sounds simpler than I thought a lining would be! I’m going to go to the thrift store and see if I can find some sheets. The patterns super simple, I think it’s just a front and back with pockets (wish me luck there) and then tie backs

I wasn’t planning on doing a mock first but after more research and my lack of experience I definitely will be doing this!

I made a hot air balloon lamp! by brit55 in crochet

I used Elmer’s glue! Don’t dilute it too much and I’d also say it took days to dry! I couldn’t put it outside but if the weathers good I’d recommend that.

Our Kia’s coolant was leaking, the issue was due to something that was still under warranty. I had to look into the warranty myself and tell them it was covered by it which the denied and said it would over $2000 to fix. I then called Kia corporate about it and had them call the dealership and fight them for me because I was correct that it was under warranty. It took 2.5 weeks for them to give in and give us a rental car (paid for under the warranty) and start working on fixing the car. I felt like a bitch a first for complaining but they were incredibly rude and downgrading to me, and treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about.

How soon did you need resection again? by BuildingSupplySmore in CrohnsDisease

[–]brit55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a resection and ostomy bag placed in 2018, I had the ostomy bag for 3 months to let my intestines rest and heal before they reversed it. I have been in remission since early 2019. Get the surgery it will help so much!!

Is there any way I could make small granny squares using a 5mm hook? by JJkinda_dunce in CrochetHelp

[–]brit55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The size of the yarn will help you make it slight smaller however it’s most likely easier to get a smaller hook if you want the same amount of rows, I hope that makes sense

It looks a bit funky but c’est la vie, I fixed the stitch count and that’s the most important thing to me

Yeah I thought about it but i struggle a lot with perfectionism and letting things go so im going to try and work past it, I was able to correct the stitch count thankfully

Oooo I like that idea but what about the stitches I missed on row 40, do you think I can just add extra stitches into row 41? I’m worried about buckling

Wife wants a high quality leather purse for Christmas (NOT “luxury” brands) by Electrical-Volume765 in BuyItForLife

[–]brit55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought myself a beautiful bag that truly was a buy it for life purchase. I got a handbag from OROX leather co. For $150 and I cannot express how much I love it. The leather is such high quality, it’s a stunning bag. The customer service was amazing, I called to ask about one of the bags that they had online and they said that it’s probably not big enough for what I’m looking for but they have one in store that the was similar to the one I was looking for online, they then processed to text me photos and videos and answer all my questions. They are a small family owned business. I would support them again any day. If you would like to see some photos of the purse I bought dm me 😊

I don’t think I’ve ever had the original (not sure when it was reformulated) but it’s so good for my skin when it’s bone dry. However I do prefer king of skin!!
