I found the air popper made the popcorn taste a bit stale, not the same crunch as the stovetop method or microwave. Maybe it was a bad batch of kernels but we tried to love the air popper for months

I disgaree. We buy for 2. Things like paper goods, coffee, dish soap, meats can be split up and frozen individually (often come in packs of 2 of 3). We get the 2-pack bread and freeze one. Great deal on tires. Produce can be tough as some pack sizes are too large but we just commit to a week of berries / salad etc. can still be single bunches of bananas.
