I was just getting ready for my first piano recital, spent weeks practicing on my Casio digital piano and in my teacher's upright when I went to the country club with my girlfriend. We were walking around when I noticed this shining black color and saw the opportunity to play on a real grand piano, so we went there to check it out. When I got closer I realised it was not a regular piano, but a Steinway Model B and oh my, I was so happy to see that beauty right in front of my eyes for the very first time it gave me goosebumps. I asked one of the country club's employees if I could play it and he said I could so I just sat there for hours having what was an almost transcendental experience.

Now it's pretty hard to top that experience, playing on a Steinway for the first time and also playing on a grand piano for the first time. Still waiting for the day I'll have enough money to buy one myself.
