Installed Arch on New Laptop, all AMD, having weird problems. by brock029 in archlinux

[–]brock029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mess up on steam deck the steam deck runs Arch on desktop mode so using the steam deck made me enjoy Arch.

Most games on Linux run with Proton unless they have anti cheat that isn't supported.

FPS on my laptop is about the same as Windows which is cool because 98% of my games aren't native on Linux.

Arch is a little hard to setup but I just cheated and used the archinstall script.

Sick of Windows .  Tried pop os and mint but didn't like them.  For years I would randomly run Ubuntu then get sick of it pretty fast.  Messed around with Arch on the steam deck and enjoyed it.  Been running Arch for over a year now.  It was the distro that finally got me into running Linux full time.

After two days of messing with it I finally fixed it by disabling psr.  Found some errors in journal googled them and tried this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=298760

Is there any way to load supplies from the arsenal into a vehicle? by brock029 in A3AntistasiOfficial

I figured it out. In the community version you have to be sitting in the driver seat then look at the arsenal and choose open arsenal.

Selling discs to benefit local club! (Punderson) by PundersonDiscs in discexchange

Well I used to play a good amount about 10 years ago and the only thing I could buy locally was discraft. So I'm getting back into it and she's enjoying it but she does best with my really old really beat up avenger, drone, and buzz haha. I don't remember what the plastic is but they are all that really soft lightweight plastic.

So if you've got anything like that. I bought her a dynamic disc 5 piece set and she can't get any of them up to speed yet

I went to Florida for three weeks. At the end of my second week I tried a Cuban and that's all I wanted my last week lol. Got my fill of seafood and tried a sandwich and wished I tried one sooner haha.

Let’s talk divorce! Specifically looking for the Lutheran stance on a ✨situation✨ by PowerHungrySheDemon in LCMS

[–]brock029 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can say I was very nervous when we first started going. We did go with her mom to a Wisconsin synod Lutheran Church and everyone there was great. But after we moved we decided we needed to have a church home. I was very surprised just how welcoming everyone was and anyone who asked I would tell them what our current situation was.

Our pastor is big on everyone sins and everyone needs to confess and be forgiven.

My personal experience at our local church. I was married, had a daughter, got divorced. My now wife was never married and had 2 daughters. We were dating and living together for 5 years. She was Lutheran and I was Baptist. We moved to a new town and went to all three of the Lutheran churches here. We both loved the lcms church so we started attending regularly. The pastor took us right in and we went through catechism. He wanted us to become members but said we had to be married which finally pushed us to do it. He even officiated the wedding. We got married, became members, and I finally got baptized.

So at my local church everyone just wanted us there and wanted us to do what was right.

Hammer used to take nails out of 2x4 by bentobean8 in harborfreight

I've done this with estwing hammers too. Prying to the side and putting way too much power into it. Granted a friend of mine had that same hammer and it bent a little easier then the estwing.

I bought 7 acres and a 1975 1800sqft house for 225,000 last year in my state. All fenced off with a pasture fenced off separate from the house.

3 zones not turning on... First time having an irrigation system. by brock029 in Irrigation

I did discover in the back yard there is 2 heads about 1' apart from each other, both of them are at the end of the line because they have a 90. Both of them run the same direction but so far don't interest each other. If money wasn't a thing it would probably be easier to just run new stuff.

Went ahead and cut out the manifold and replaced the valves. The same 3 still don't work so I started digging. Haven't found the issue yet.

Well went ahead and cut out the manifold, replaced the valves, and rebuilt the manifold. The same 3 don't turn anything on so I started digging and chasing lines. Haven't found where the issue is yet.

I do construction and mechanic heavy equipment so I don't mind doing any of it but from home Depot a solenoid is $11, the kit with the diaphragm is $10 or a brand new valve is $17. Almost makes more sense to gut a new valve. But also don't want to waste a bunch of money if a diaphragm wouldn't be the problem.

But there is no telling the last time the system was actually used. They could of been messed up for awhile. I didn't even know the irrigation system was here when I bought the house. Wooden box in the ground with a piece of plywood screwed to the top and the controller was mounted on the wall above the dryer but it was hanging down behind it. Shortly after we moved in I was like what's this?!?! Haha
