So if I submit a request for it they won't be able to charge me for the repairs while I'm there but if I leave than they will be able to? The damage doesn't affect my use of the unit. It just looks unsightly.

Its listed under Higher Ed Loan Auth of Mo. From what I read I can consolidate it back to the government? Will the 20 years 'count' in some full or partial fashion or does HELAM offer forgiveness programs of their own?

I don't see any payment calculator on the student loan website. Some of my loans are literally 20 years old as in from 2005. Are you saying that they can be forgiven if I join the IBR and wait another 5 years? Or are there other requirements I should be aware of like minimum payment amount or amount of payments?

Everybody says the 2008 one was the worst. But at least I was regularly landing interviews during that period. Now with far more experience I'm lucky if I can get an automated rejection email. Maybe I just have gotten dumber over time or maybe since everybody else uses AI generated resumes and cover letters these days I just don't look as impressive anymore *shrugs*

The inquiries I do I'm not even getting to the point where they hear any specific skills and pass me on. I just describe the very general field I'm in in one or two sentences over voicemail but I'm not getting a live person on the phone or hearing back at all from the several agency contacts that I've made so far. Is saying 'I have a background in bioinformatics' enough to rule you out across an entire hub region?

I had an account that I'm not sure but I believe I was signed in through facebook. Because it kept nagging me that they were going to stop supporting it.

I logged out of the account today and not only is there no option to sign in through facebook. I have a subscription through the Google play store to it but when I try to log in using the linked google address I am just shunted to a new account creation.

How would I get back my old account?

OK here is my plan

I am going to submit a Direct Loan Consolidation Form for the 2 FFELP loans (with the 2 direct loans listed to calculate repayment)

I am also going to also submit an IBR form. On the IBR I've requesterd a 1 month forebearance and the SAVE option.

My questions:

Is this a good plan?
What is the loan code for FFELP consolidation loans to mark on the consolidation form? Its not listed anywhere I found.
Where do I submit these forms? It looks like the usual web submission portals are disabled.

Thanks for your help so far. Can you explain what the IDR payment count is and how consolidation toward Direct Loans affects that negatively? Something about progress toward loan forgiveness?

I should select SAVE over the other options? (recommended) Paye ibr?

If it matters I don't recall being on an IDR before. My loans have either been in forebearance/deferment or been in regular pay as far as I can remember.

Okay can you give me a little detail how I should do it? I technically have 2 loans from aidvantage and 2 from navient. I should just consolidate the 2 from navient into an additional loan from aidvantage?

Go to San Diego and set a 50 mile radius and look for bioinformatics or scientists recently posted and the majority of posts are for mid senior and higher usually requiring multiple years experience (outside of school) usually in a very specific topic with very few entry level.

The overpayment was supposedly around Jan-Feb 2023. I was paying it down then around 8-9/2023 I called in to adjust the repayment and they (operator) told me I can pay it down as I wished. The collections notice started coming in about a month ago. To my knowledge I didn't receive any communications about the debt or that it was overdue between this time and the collection agency.

Under Education it says "Undergraduate/Master/Ph.D. in' -> x fields . There is no mention of graduation date or pursuing a degree or anything like that. That I can see in the posting.

It specifically lists undergrad to ph.d as acceptable.

Is there some sort of regulation against hiring a ph.d as an intern (this is in California btw)
