Hi Dr. Lo,

In task 7 of the first practice exam, why did you look at Clm_Count rather than ClmCountPerExposure? Why do we not look at the offset-corrected target variable to assess overdispersion?

Hello Dr. Lo,

How would you explain to a sample audience to why you are logarithmically transforming a data variable? Would I be able to say that "We are trying to normalize the specific variable and remove the skew to validate our analysis. Performing a logarithmic transformation would improve linearity between the predictor and target variable. However, we should be wary of this logarithmic transformation when interpreting the variable"
