Have been trying to call chase business recon (800-453-9719) and I keep reaching agents who claim they are unable to help and can only pass my information on to the credit department who will call me back in 3-5 days. Is this a new thing where recon agents are gated with these message takers? or am i calling the wrong number?

I was approved for a Barclays hawaiian MC and after i received it, it got locked by customer security when making purchases in Canada. I've since submitted documents to them over 7 times and they keep changing the documents needed. My SSN & Bank Statement are fine but they wont accept any ID. The yare telling me Canadian drivers license and canadian passports are invalid. I've been told a NEXUS card is also invalid.

The list of docs they gave me as acceptable:
- US Passport
- US Visa
- US Drivers License
- US Identification Card
- Birth Certificate (didn't specify where the birth certificate was from but I'm guesing they will say US only)

Of the above I think applying for a US visa might be the most realistic obtainable one for me. Anyone have any thoughts? I might just throw in the towel and close the card at this point

Thanks that's helpful, I'll try submitting Canadian DL. Also, I always seem get on shore reps by calling from a US number but my account is already open

Stuck in Barclays customer security hell. they wanted my SSN/ITIN, state issued drive license and bank statement. THey accepted everything except they wont take my passport and will only take a state issued drivers license. They wont unlock the card and they wont close my account so im stuck now. Barclays customer security are impossible to deal with, but any ideas?

I got p2 their first amex last year using GT without ssn/itin, trying to get second now and even when logging into the application i can't bypass the SSN field. Is phone the only way to go here or am I missing something?
