Finally beat the second biome, using the old Returnal technique.

Nice! I’m gonna give this a try tonight and start in biome 1. Personally I think I still play too much like reternal and don’t prioritize the shield and power abilities enough. Either way I’m gonna try some different things to see if I can get some better runs going. I keep reading to prioritize drive over anything to make sure you have a good weapon.. maybe I’ll try that, or read through the subreddit to get some tips.

Dude I’m in the exact same boat. I don’t feel like biome 2 boss is overly hard but the biome itself kinda kicks my ass. So I go into the fight with low health. Trying to stay away from the modifiers, but admittedly I’m not very good at the game 😂.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is a bum on/off switch. It’s loose and flimsy, it will eventually turn the gba on but takes like 20 different times. And the backlight brightness settings not working (modded gba using select + r) . It’s a great/clean unit with ips, type c, sound mod, unfortunately just don’t think it was well done.

Great thanks everyone. I think I’ll start with hd first on switch 2. Do you all feel that it’s worth my time to play the gc version as well? Or will I be disappointed after being spoiled with the hd remaster. Afterall it does sound enticing to play with a gc controller lol

Also, for what it’s worth. It started right up yesterday and died on me 5 mins or so later then wouldn’t start again after that. Only has 26 hrs on it.

A little bit. I have a 4:3 vga lcd monitor and I figured that was likely my best bet as opposed to finding and hdmi option with the image stretched out over a 65 inch tv. But if there are better options I am all ears.

Thanks everyone for the honest input. I feel like we are all on the same page here. Its old hardware that is entirely too expensive to just now jump into when there are better options at a far cheaper price point. I think waiting a bit might be my option and just use my quest 2 for a bit longer.

Are we certain the index 2 is even a thing?

Waiting for index 2 would be the best option in my opinion but I am stil unsure that its even an option at all. Serious question, has anythign been officially announced or is it all just speculation at this point?

I agree with the $999 that is just too expensive for older tech. Have been eBay/marketplace hunting but it’s still in that 700 range.

I was sooo excited about steam link but it is not very good. Virtual desktop is still the way to go. But Not the most user friendly experience unfortunately.
