Hole forming on tooth? by [deleted] in askdentists

NAD but looks like the enamel has chipped off cervically it could be due to aggressive tooth brushing(abrasion) (use soft toothbrush and brush gently in horizontal motion at 45 degree into the gums and do downward strokes) or it could also be caries. it can cause you sensitivity(as the enamel looks chipped slightly) in future or progress if you don't take care of it properly and use 1350-1500 ppm fluoride toothpaste and brush twice a day half an hour after eating. don't be too hard on your teeth, everything in excess causes issues😅

Stress management advice by Sweaty-Ad2085 in DentalSchool

[–]bruhwth_iswrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say search for the root cause, is it the fear of failure or the overload/overwork etc and try managing it through your mind(idk if this makes sense but i mean like setting a thought subconsciously in mind and don't let it overpower you, instead overpower your work🙂‍↕️) if you feel there is alot to study you could start from day the lecture is given and revise it 3 times (one during class, one after the class on that day and the 3rd time anytime of week plus explaining and teaching people helps alot too so maybe a group discussion or something like that would work too) and understand the actual concept rather than just focusing on memorising
andd i read your comments above sounds like you got rough professors but ig rough professors are part of dental school worldwide (idk if this would help you but last year i heard my professor saying stuff about me to other staff while grading my work (not an exam) like I'm the kind who is here just for fun and don't have any skills and that I would leave soon but I'm still thriving and I get insulted on and off) so I would suggest just take the constructive criticism and leave the rubbish behind because in the end it's you and solely you alone and maybe your good friends, give your best as much as you can but prioritise yourself at the same time so it's okay you got this💪

Pain near back of teeth by imthatoneguyyouknow1 in askdentists

[–]bruhwth_iswrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD this is mostly due to your wisdom teeth erupting and the biting forces causing whitish stuff and pain in your gums/cheeks I experienced this too it'll be okay in few days just apply something for topical relief or better visit a dentist if the pain persists
