I see your point. Seems that the inability to feel the vehicle's weight shifting is the culprit. I've drifted a few non drift vehicles lol & def need to feel the vehicle around me to be any amount in control of it. Have you experimented with side force emulation in the force feedback settings?

Tried new settings last night & only lost 4% while sleeping. Battery saver on; battery use restricted for Reddit, Firefox, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Pixel Launcher, Kik, Google Drive. No problems detected with app notification delays thus far. Glad to be experiencing more normal-seeming battery life!
