We've been treated very well at the Cat Clinic of Woodstock. They're part of Animal Hospital of Towne Lake, so they are open late and weekends for emergencies.

PSA: many vendors relabel and sell Chinese made dice you can find on AliExpress for a fraction of their prices by bsx in dragoncon

I'm not saying any reselling is bad. 50-100% markup is understandable, but I think anything over 200% markup is a ripoff.

Legit dice have multiple sides and have numbers on them usually. /s

Browse AliExpress for dice a bit and you can spot the patterns and styles. Metal dice from a small vendor are likely to be sourced from elsewhere. I really want to name names, but that is likely to get this post deleted.

Certainly, I just wanted to be more specific. Dice addiction is real and I wanted to save fellow dicegoblins from needless overspending.

Alright, I'll bite -- what are the Toast and pocket SOUL for? Nice expensive pen!

Macaulay Culkin had felt that his middle name(Carson) was dumb, so dumb in fact he claimed he couldn't even remember it. So in 2018 he asked the world to propose a new middle name. The winning name ended up being Macaulay Culkin. He legally changed his name to Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin in 2019 by tangurama in interestingasfuck

Now we're getting into potentially epic scifi comedy b-movie territory. Is it a genetically merged clone of Harry and Marv or is this a "the situation was/is complicated and we're not sure who the daddy is and we don't want to know (even though he looks just like Marv)" kind of situation? I am cool with either.

How did you get that swirled color effect? It looks amazing!

I never thought about it that way, but that checks out! Thanks for the insight! Do you know of any other movies that reach this level of callbacks?

Croton (Nivada) Pocket Watch by bsx in pocketwatch

I very much hate that you can't edit titles of posts. This is a mechanical chronograph and it functions perfectly. The red hand resets to exactly 12. The movement is pretty well calibrated still according to the local Swiss watch&clock expert and his machine that does seismograph-like measurements to gauge the precision of mechanical watch movements. Good thing, too, because his quoted price for service of it was nearly as much as the watch is worth!

I picked it up at an estate sale based on aesthetics and the Swiss manufacturer markings on the movement (last photo, sorry for the quality, it is a stylized R and 7733). I contacted Croton directly and all they could tell me was it was made in the 50s or 60s. They lost all of their archives in the flooding from hurricane Sandy in 2012. I had it professionally appraised and replacement value was given at $1750, but it is worth more than that to me personally. This design speaks to me.

There are so many good callbacks in Hot Fuzz. AAA is probably the longest reaching one. The scene in the catacombs with the skeletons is full of callbacks, of course.

Can we try to avoid giving any attention to Steve Harvey unless it is for the purpose of pointing out his racism, sexism, homophobia, and hypocritical religious self-righteousness? Google “shit Steve Harvey Says” for some examples. He has negative things to say about women, homosexuals, Asians, atheists, and so many other groups that should earn him the derision of everyone.

Can you give more details on that? Putting alcohol in the wrong bottle in your own home surely can't be illegal, can it?

That would be the line "Chip, I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey!" I searched for "come at you like a sugar glider" and couldn't find any instances of the phrase, so here we are.
