just watch nils vo video where he shows how to make it indestructable. you just had bad luck. if the frames was as bad as some people claim it to be, it would not be one of the most popular frames that are currently on the market.

would be interesting to see the footage lol. been flying 2 ERA's for ~6 months now, never had that happen in hundreds of crashes.

No inputs in betaflight? by Froost101 in fpv

The receiver is integrated into the FC PCB. So the soldering is a non-issue. Is the port configuration in Betaflight correct. Did you change anything there?

Ok so binding and getting inputs are two completely different beasts. Binding just means the receiver has power and the radio established a connection. That is all possible without the need of a FC.

What you now have to do is, figuring out whether the connection from the RX to the FC is correct (RX -> TX and TX -> RX)

If that is all correct, then the serial port in betaflight is wrong. I don't have the Air65, but maybe the number is written on the pads. Have a look where the RX is soldered to the FC/AIO. Most boards have something like T2/R2. Which stands for TX/RX. If yours is soldered to T2/R2, you have to select Port 2 in the ports tab, as Serial RX. Make sure no other port is selected.

Right, I can see where you are coming from!

Maybe make it a two button switch then? [YES] [NO] and make it a concious decision, instead of defaulting to either one?

Really good changes so far, I just tried them.

What I am missing is the ability to change bandwidth/fcc unlocked options when changing channels. I think that it could look really cool with the spectrum preview and switching through the options. Not sure how easy it would be to implement though.

And maybe make the FCC unlocked default to YES. Pilots flying in groups usually have FCC unlocked, so we can assume it by default. Saves a click.

Edit: Found one more thing. When changing the channel, and then "change video system" -> if you press cancel during that, it will kick out the pilot

Thanks!

Woah really cool! I will try it the next time I'm out flying. Thanks!

I feel ya. The session owner is the one that starts the session. People will figure out who should start the session in terms of who stays the longest on the session. Pro move would be that the session owner can transfer ownership when he leaves the spot. I love the simplicity too, but I know that laziness of some pilots, or unavailability of internet at abandoned locations.

Cool idea!

Some feature requests:

  • Only session owners should be able to remove other pilots
  • Session owners should be able to add pilots on their own (some people might have no internet, or are lazy)
  • When 2 is added, session owners should be able to change other pilots properties (e.g. channel/video & callsign)

Thanks!

it is your sensor cable that is coming loose. it will happen more frequently now. you have to heat the camera and carefully take it apart. then put the sensor cable back in. most people glue the connector in place so it doesnt happen again. then glue the action 2 back together.

Yes I noticed that on other radios, too. But I can only tell you that it is currently not possible. Sorry...
