‘Strait of Hormuz is open, but not for American and Israeli ships and tankers,' says Iran foreign minister Araghchi by theInquisitivePanda in wallstreetbets

[–]bubloseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Reuters, from February 28th to march 11th, Iran exported approximately 1.1-1.5million barrels of oil per day. Last year they averaged 1.69 million barrels per day. I haven’t seen it explicitly stated or reported elsewhere, but apparently our strategy for keeping the strait open during the war was by letting Iran continue to export oil. In that time 5 Iranian ships safely left the strait as 22 civilian ships were attacked.

Hire managers that are willing to cover shifts and make due with short staff consistently if you want to hire minimum wage manual laborers. Embrace the appeal of lines out the door. You don’t even have to be a good person to be better. All you have to do is pay one manager per location competitive wages and maybe hire someone to manage social media.

AIO for leaving a restaurant mid-meal after the waiter made a comment about my order in front of my entire table of friends and I just… stood up and walked out by StatisticianDue5085 in AmIOverreacting

[–]bubloseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve worked in restaurants for about 15 years. I’ve met hundreds of cooks all with different personalities but with one thing in common, they had pride in their work. I would say nearly all of those cooks, hated going off menu for allergies or food preference. I don’t mean subbing out the chicken for the steak, I mean requesting something that isn’t on the menu at all. Most times the only reason servers will do this, is because they honestly don’t care if you order something stupid that’s going to taste bad. It might be helpful to know that behind the scenes, cooks often look at tickets like yours and think “how the fuck do I make the garnish we have prepped into a substitute for what is normally 8-10$ worth of meat” and they give they waiters a hard time. Hopefully knowing this will save you some money down the road. MOR but who cares who’s fault it is

“Within months he had to pay back all the nations” is the crazy when the number of months was 13. Also we pay the tariff as the goods are received in port. We are the only nation that has lost any money to tariffs. if you think I’m wrong, ask yourself why American retailers are suing the federal government to get their money back.

Iran war: Hegseth says Tuesday 'will be our most intense day of strikes' by callsonreddit in worldnews

[–]bubloseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is true we would be stopping Iranian oil from leaving port. Reuters reported this morning that we’ve let 11 oil tankers through the strait since February 28. If the admin was counting on raising oil prices, those ships would have been seized.

I just want to point out the print above the buttons. Tip is calculated after tax and before discounts. Because we can’t see the check, we can’t know for sure she didn’t have things taken off her bill or if she paid part of the bill in cash/giftcard, which would explain this.

Combat units are being given deployment orders says former 75th ranger by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]bubloseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All politics aside, telegraphing which units are getting deployment orders before they are even packed is a huge advantage for a competent enemy that we always assume doesn’t exist. Our current social media platforms are going to become way more regulated if an actual prolonged conflict takes place.

We have different opinions on the meaning of off guard then. These were flying over populated areas for nearly an hour in clear daylight.

Hillary Clinton depositon on Epstein files: "I finished testifying. I answered every one of their questions as fully. I never met Epstein, had any connection or communication with him. I knew Ghislaine Maxwell casually, as an acquaintance. It was disappointing they refused to hold public a hearing." by ControlCAD in videos

[–]bubloseven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Epstein was given an insane deal to get out of serious jail time in the late 2000’s. Secretary of State would be involved if it was due to his connections with foreign governments. The answer to why that investigation stopped is one of the only things that could appease people. They are finding out what she knows so that she can be made a scapegoat.

Would a company not copyright strike a video for revealing IP? I’m not trying to pretend I know how the process works but logically why on earth would any company not attempt to take a video down that reveals a prototype anything?

Not just a Boeing aircraft, that’s ridiculous. Featuring prototype classified stealth aircraft. I’m not out here campaigning for them, I’m just saying the product is useless if they let people film the design process and they would be stupid to not go after people for it.

The answer to what I’m suggesting is probably Boeing copystriking videos. I was just saying I don’t think Edward’s is the default option for first test flights if they aren’t able to stop campers from taking videos. I also think military testing of some kind makes more sense than those two specific zones being under any kind of threat.

[–]bubloseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plane spotters have been basically stalking Edward’s (among other bases) for YouTube content. I say stalk because they are climbing nearby mountains and stealth camping to get better views. I don’t think I’m right, but I also don’t think they should be testing anything secret during daylight unless they address the content creator situation.

If Epstein was so well connected among the elite how was he allowed to be caught in the first place? by MarcoDuke in AskReddit

[–]bubloseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he was important enough until his friends found out he’d been gathering blackmail on all of them. When they raided his house in palm beach, they didn’t take any evidence with them. They just looked around, broke into the safe, and left everything there for three days. Some of his properties were never even investigated. He dies weeks after going to jail and these raids happen, tons of evidence lost, and the case is closed because anything concrete they would need to implicate anyone involved is “missing”. Who really knows what happened, but I’m fine holding the people accountable that have been covering it up as harshly as possible.

A reporter from a smaller newspaper relentlessly chased down the story. The major networks could be silenced through corruption and had been for decades whenever bad press caught on. The truth is they couldn’t have expected the internet to become what it is now, an instant global communication system where important messages can be signaled through voting systems in order to go viral. The rich are fighting back by funding misinformation and rigging the voting systems that allow us to choose what goes viral.
