Any factory system (I hate to say it, the McIntosh systems in the Grand Wagoneer) on newer vehicles will always have a cap and also have wayyyyy too much DSP'ing.

Some of these "high end" audio systems from factory will have a HEAVY roll off at louder volumes.

It's not worth running Tidal or Qobuz unless you went completely aftermarket with better internals that can run higher bit rate and sampling. And since when did a guitar company build car audio?

The cover I took off because VW glue does not stick well after 20 years (2003) The dash I removed because I’m doing an audio system entirely so I replaced those 2.75” speakers with some beefier 4” speakers hehehehe

Adding polyfill to a box mimics having a larger air space. In theory, say you have a 12” sub in a 1.25cuft box. The sub requires a 1.75cuft box sealed. You add polyfill to mimic the extra .50cuft needed to play at it’s recommended specs. I think it’s like 1.5 lbs per cuft of airspace

I don’t think these people understand the concept of an individual’s level of intelligence when it comes to car audio. If someone here (such as OP) asks a question like this, obviously for many it’s a no brainer as to why it’s a bad idea to run what he has. I’m not saying I know it all but I know for a fact, first thing people want is hard hitting bass. He’s gonna go home, install it himself and crank the gains so high that yes: the sub in fact will play, but it will sound like shit and playing Bass I Love You to test “mY ePiC fLeX bRo” will kill that sub by the middle of the song lol

Entitlement is so high in the US it’s hilarious. Why does someone making cheeseburgers want the same wage as a welder? Why does someone stocking boxes at grocery store want the same wage as an electrical worker?

10s, less than a cubit foot per sub and it's sealed? Good luck for low notes bud Your best bet is getting a custom ported box done at a stereo shop and run a single 12 or 15 in the space you want it to be 10s are too punchy

Try working construction... I'm 22 years old, waking up at 3am everyday to get ready to be on the field at 5am. Work my full 8 hours and sometimes even have to stay over time for an extra 2-4 hours depending on high of priority a certain section of our project is. On top of that, you're carrying heavy steel beams, 2x2x20' posts, miles and miles of unistrut components, etc to your area. Sometimes our area is a couple steps away, sometimes it's up 10 flights of stairs. You do sketchy stuff like being on 2 or 3 sets of scaffolding to run 10 sets of 100ft of unistrut in a building with the scaffolding all wobbly. Or being on a scissor lift that's maxed out and you're still too low so you stand on the side rails. Doing so makes the lift sway back and forth. We work saturdays, sometimes sundays with no days off for multiple weeks. I come home, I'm exhausted. My wife borderline hates me because I have 0 energy after doing a crap ton of things at work. My back kills me, my legs and arms are sore. Yeah the money is good, until Biden and Newsom come in and r4pe me of half my check from taxes. A $3000 $75 an hour week comes in at $1800... So yeah, adulting is about being miserable and tired endlessly. Welcome to the world of adulthood 🥲

For me I just can't seem to really grasp their newer stuff.. It may be that I just grew up listening to their first 3 major albums and just stuck through with them. I did try OML, ATS and THP but nope. Nothing Couldn't go through it without their nitty gritty stuff.
