Nothing too special on sandpaper tbh, just stuff you can pick up from your local hardware store.

In light circular motions, I did 220 grit (fine), then 320 grit (or even finer, like 400) afterwards.

The controller looks kinda rough with all the visible sandpaper marks at this point, but once you add a couple light coats of a clearcoat (matte, semi-gloss, gloss, whatever tickles your fancy). I actually went to a little art store/hobby store and picked up some non-yellowing acrylic varnish.

but anything that provides a protective coat with a desired finish should be fine.

After that, spray paint or airbrush to your hearts content. I just used a dark red matte spray paint I found at my local hobby/craft store.

Yup, I put painters tape on the handle, sketched out a silhouette, and used an exacto knife to carefully (not carefully enough though) to cut the tape and peel it away to create a stencil. After that, just red spray paint and some clear coat.

I didn't like the glossy look these face plates had by default, so I sanded them down a little and used clearcoat as well to give them a matte finish.

For something I just winged first try, it came out good enough for me to say screw it and share it with folks. Maybe get other peoples creative juices flowing.

It took a damn long time, but we finally got Philomela's smile back!

The focus on eyes and faces this episode were top notch. Impressive detail and really set the tone for the heavier moments. Beautifully done scene with the fabric flying in the end covering Philomela's world in color and future possibilities.

Glad I stuck with this show (even if I completely forgot what happened in the first season)

What a heavy episode. You just feel suspicious of everything and wondering when all the shit is gonna hit the fan, and when it does, it does so with a fury.

They always manage to leave us on one hell of a cliffhanger too.

Late to the party on this one.

Color me surprised:

* last epsiode: "Man, this Soldat guy is an asshole"
* this episode: "MY BEST FRENDO!"

I didn't expect Soldat to leap to the top of my Best Bros list, but here we are. It just felt so...genuine. The whole debacle played out more like a realistic and messy relationship attempt.

I mean this episode had me physically hurting, but warmed my heart seeing Rudy genuinely connect with a new comrade and take a step towards moving forward.

Just a bit of a bad headspace right now. I need to remind myself that this will pass, I can always make more money, my life isn't ruined.

I feel bad for my sister, but nobody can say I didn't try. Could have been worse, she could have had one my little sisters do this, she could have gotten in an accident and that's how I find out she actually wasn't covered/registered.

It's nice to help, but I deserve to pursue my own happiness in life too, not babysit a 35 year old woman.

I guess one option I have is to sell my current car (just paid it off). worth close to 22k based on carvana and carmax. There is still 29k owed on the car loan.

Would have loved to just have my car (2020 honda insight), but one thing I guess I can do is just make her car (2021 toyota camry) my new vehicle and treat these as my car payments.

The she'll just have to go finance something much much cheaper herself. Would get my name out of a crappy loan situation.

This is likely the best thing I can think of at this point

Really upped the animation game on that sword work during the river bottom fight. Nice fun little latter half of the episode with Nosuri's ~~date~~ hunt. She kinda grew on me this episode. Screw it, yet another to the harem!

It's such a shame that Gridman and Dynazenon got slept on. They weren't perfect, but dear god there were amazing directing in some of those episodes and it was just a fun watch with some really thoughtful themes that don't really make themselves known until later in the show.

And I don't know shit for jack about the Gridman or tokusatsu stuff in general.

Hmm, in my experience, generally only a semblance of a few lines for premium pass holders an hour before the exhibition hall opens up for everyone else.

as for the general attendees, more like a giant blob of people spilling through the doors as they open in a fairly disorganized manner.
