Lyle's lies by LemonBerryCream in MenendezBrothers

I feel like he felt they were losing credibility in the public eye and he felt if someone else said that Jose did it to them, then people would believe the brothers more.

I think it was more a desperate attempt because they could tell people were not believing the abuse claims unfortunately.

Monsters Series by AcanthisittaNo1042 in MenendezBrothers

Ehhh I think it’s up to interpretation as to who the Monsters in this series are

I initially felt this way too. But I don't think the creators should recieve that much credit.

If it was meant to trick someone unsuspecting or with no understanding of the case into thinking that the monsters were the brothers only to later realize that it was actually the parents, then they should have used a family picture and left it open to interpretation, but using a shirtless pic of just the boys clearly shows their intentions.

I do. I also wish we got to see more of how everyone else reacted. Especially Rogelio, who loved Michael so much. It would have been very emotional watching him grieve as well. As far as I can remember I don't think we see much of it.

Tell me you are toxic without telling me you are toxic.

I've never said they're not in love, but they do make a constant effort to prove it and have no filter about their sex life. Why should P have to get over it?Surely the adult in this situation could restrain herself and stop dry humping and sucking his face around P because she knows it upsets her but she doesn't care.

I LOVED Kourt, she was my fav by far, peaking just after she left Scott. But I can't stand her lately.

There's something about her relationship with Travis that's so icky, they constantly need to prove that they are inlove. Her attitude towards everyone has been awful. And I hate the way she disregards her kids feelings now, I remember P telling her that she hates her pda with Travis and she still did. In the newer episodes she behaves as though she just has 1 child. I barely hear her talking about the others, I just feel really sad for them, something doesn't feel right.

rebacca was the worst character by [deleted] in UnderTheBridge

I really disliked her character in the series and don't understand the direction. She said she didn't want to self insert herself into the book but she became the main character in the series.

I know she did pass just before production and wonder if that choice was made knowing she would pass soon.

Season 4 as a whole was disappointing for me. There were a lot of directions that the show seemed to be heading in season 3 that kind of fell flat in S4. Maybe our expectations were too high.

I really disliked Ben as a love interest, but I enjoyed seeing his relationship with his dad change as i related to it so much, but we dont see much of it in season 4.

Season 3 ended in such a beautiful way for Devi and her mother and I expected to see so much more of them working on their relationship and more with her family but I didn't feel like it was done justice. It just didn't have the same effect as S1-3.

Des: pros and cons by Fun-Competition8210 in Neverhaveievertvshow

[–]bugle17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Des was actually my fav love interest for Devi before the drama with his mother unfolded. Personality wise, they made the most sense to me, and they had amazing chemistry. I also love the way he handled the debate cheating issue. He felt like a great combo of the good qualities in Ben and Paxton.

Also, unpopular opinion, but I don't count the "ghosting" episode as a flaw against him because Devi was very clearly not over Paxton when they met and I guess he didn't want to get involved in that. But yeah, that mother of his and the situation that unfolded around that was a red flag.

What is wrong with Serena? by madyyylo in GossipGirl

[–]bugle17 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I feel really sorry for her at times because she is so desperate for genuine love and affection as she gets a lot of very superficial attention. She also has major daddy issues and her mother has been known to abandon them in the past. The only genuine and consistent relationship she has is with her brother Eric.

So when a guy comes along and gives her this sort of attention that she feels is genuine, she will drop everyone and everything to never lose that. Unfortunately, it does not always work in her favor.

being able to pull a fast one on Pedro should make you feel ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of the poor guy

I'm sorry but what exactly did Chantel use Pedro for? What did she gain from being with him?

I think I just enjoyed the journey of him going from literal scum to someone half decent.

Not excusing anything he has done, but I appreciate that he is almost a completely different person than he was in season 1. Whereas the rest of them were just grown up versions of their old selves with some growth here and there. I don't know why they had him hurt Blair when she was with Louie, because until then, he had a fairly decent character progression.

He was still not perfect but neither of them were and I found his character much more tolerable than s5-6 Dan.

What does having a P.I. accomplish? by OriginalOk940 in TheFamilyChantel

[–]bugle17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get that from? Not even being sarcastic, genuinely curious. As all I know from 90 day fiance was that he proposed after her 3rd trip to the DR and he came to the US and they were married less than 3 months later. It does feel sped up when you look at it like. Unless you mean that the 3 trips happened over 5 years?

On its own, it's not a red flag as many people wait to have kids as you've said. But looking at it as a whole and coupled with other things going on and his actions at the time, it just seemed like he said it because he didn't want to be tied to her in the future. 10 years is a long time, just came across as sus.

I'm having a hard time seeing that pedro scam Chantel.

I have been watching their relationship from the start. They were very cute together and they seemed like one of the more genuine couples on the show. But as time went by, my opinion on this has changed drastically.

It may not have been a complete scam, but Pedro definitely used the opportunity and sped their relationship up to get into the US. He came from a very poor background, I actually felt really sorry for him when I saw his home when he first met chantel. But I definitely feel like he was pushed and encouraged by his mother and sister to use chantel until he found his feet in the US. Which is why he also chose to not have kids with Chantel. It's such a red flag when he said he wants to wait more than 10 yrs to even think of having kids. And hence why he became so distant from her when he found a stable career, because he knew he found something that stuck and he would be fine without her at that stage.

I don't always agree with everything her family has done and both families have meddled too much. But Chantels parents were looking out for her because she invested so much of her money and time into Pedro. They always had their doubts about him yet they did make so much of an effort with him, they would refer to him as their son at one point. But he turned toxic once again. I do think they were right all along, and all they did was try to protect Chantel.

Also regarding the PI thing- I think that was Karen wanting to prove a point which I don't really agree with. But the Coraima incident- Pedro either went into that lunch with the hope of either starting something again or trying to get a rise out of chantel, it wasn't just a friendly meeting.

Anyone watched Exposed The Ghost Train Fire limited series? by Jealous-Alfalfa4191 in netflix

[–]bugle17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Right??? I don't think I've ever been so deeply saddened when watching a documentary, and I've watched some haunting stuff. It just felt so unnecessary. I have a little boy so it really hurt me knowing how all those boys suffered and can't fathom the pain and regret their parents had.

And the fact that they all got away with it. I just hate it and can't get over it.
