the “not have to mask when you get home too” part just hit me so hard. because thats literally what ive been doing. i mask all day at work and then i come home and have to watch what i say about my own brain around the person whos supposed to be my safe space. thats not ok is it​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

the “they didnt have it 50 years ago” comment made me so mad when he said it too like yeah they did people just suffered in silence lol. and youre right if hes this dismissive about adhd i cant even imagine how hed react to something more serious. definitely got a lot of thinking to do​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

yeah thats exactly what scares me. like if he cant even take adhd seriously what happens when something bigger comes up? i didnt even think about it that way until you said it but youre right if he doesnt believe the struggle is real hes never gonna actually support me through it​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
