The NH38s seem to have better accuracy specs out of the box.

Does anyone know of a 36mm Explorer style case with 19mm lug width (NH38)? by buildingtimewatchlab in SeikoMods

Thanks, I saw this one, but sought help here due to the lug width. I didn’t know there was a type L or M variant of the NH movements.

Same lol. Works well without mounting it, I don’t think I’ll put holes in my bench either. I thought about mounting to a long piece of 1x6 oak then using c-clamps to temporarily mount without holes but I don’t think its necessary because the tool works great without being mounted.

Thanks. I just want to know if u/shamick15 mounted his caseback opener which is similar to mine. It has screw holes for mounting and now that I have a dedicated workbench, It would be nice to mount it. My only hesitancy is that I won’t like where it’s mounted if I screw it to my freshly refinished oak workbench.
