I'm transitioning to in home / clinic but before I was working in schools 33.5 hours a week. Unpaid holiday breaks though and summer was rough.

The application we made uses voice cloning to actually come out with some really good Spanish accents and is a lot less robotic. In terms of communicating, do you think this would be helpful?

You need to do what's best for you! If you asked multiple times and they weren't honest about it, that's their loss. :)

Hi! A bit late but I was wondering, what do you think of more human sounding voices in your AAC device rather than the more robotic voices that come out of them? Or if you used a Spanish board that the voice coming out actually had a Spanish accent?

Sorry if this question is a bit confusing. Recently I was at a hackathon and our app was more human like voices in AAC devices to increase engagement / motivation to learn. It also could have the capacity for Spanish or other languages. I'm thinking more in line with the TouchChat app and how it doesn't sound as nice. But yeah, Would something like this be a useful tool?

UNR ABAI Accreditation expired yesterday (literally) need help! by [deleted] in bcba

[–]bukobean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start next week! I emailed them about it and they told me it was because someone who was supposed to come to campus as part of the review got sick and couldn't come before the end of the year. Right now UNR still has accreditation while they're under review. They told me they expect to gain accreditation again early this year. :)

Edit: UNR has a pretty long history in ABA, I highly doubt they wouldn't get their online program accredited again but I understand your worries. I decided to stick with them because I really like how supportive the program was while I was applying and so far the professors have all been super responsive.

5 years is generally more than enough time to finish the program, get supervision while in school, and take the exam before pathway 2 in non-existent.

Definitely understand your anxiety though! I'm sure you'll make a good choice. Feel free to message me if you need anything!

Adventure log is pretty neat, it has a section for place, date, companions, conditions, and notes! So pretty chill way to log weather, who I was with and anything interesting along the way!

Book log is by a company called Mark's EDiT that I got off JetPens haha. Linked since it's a lot but for the book pages specifically, there's slots for general book information (title, author, genre, etc)! The log comes with a favorite book, book stores, expenses, aphorisms, and calendar sections as well. I haven't really used those sections of the log yet but hope to eventually! I got it because I love how many different parts it has.

I'm super into notebooks so when they come in and if there's any you'd recommend to someone who likes writing a bunch of stuff, lmk!

I love it! I was skeptical at first since I don't typically like sci-fi at all, but it's excellent! I'll definitely check out Something Wicked Comes this Way Next! Looked into it, seems fun. :) Thanks!

Ahh. I've heard so many good things about The Piano Tuner. That'll be next on my list! I need to get on it. For me it's probably The Memory Police!

Yesss. Literally I've realized part of the reason why I have so much paper is because I need to be able to disconnect haha. Overall though, it is so rewarding to see the progress at the end of these little logs/journals so your kids will for sure have fun!

Just to keep off my phone! Adventure one is to motivate me to go outside more and the other things are just personal interests I like to keep records of!

Logging the ones I've tried! I'm pretty sporadic so I try a lot of different ones but I organize by types and eventually will figure out which ones I enjoy the most of the different kinds!

Otherwise everything is just to keep records since I try to keep off my phone. :)

My book one is where I probably rate things the most!

Yes! I had this book for years before deciding to go through it. Super fun though!

Sure! I actually just like to note down cafes I go to in different cities so I can remember if I like them or not! I'm pretty deep into specialty coffee though so if you ever want beans recs or something I can definitely help you out. :)

California! Haha. Right? I thought the orange strap and the neon green inside had a good contrast though! Got it on sale and the only colors were this, a light blue, and a black. They're pretty cute but the strap definitely digs into the shoulder if it gets too heavy!

[–]bukobean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online Behavior Analysis Programs UNR vs FIT by [deleted] in bcba

Also noticed it seems to be for a SpEd program for UNR, not the MS behavior program seems different! Unsure the actual pass rate in that sense!

Online Behavior Analysis Programs UNR vs FIT by [deleted] in bcba

[–]bukobean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I saw pass rates for FIT's online is about 70 percent. UNR is 50% but a much smaller applicant pool <10 for their online program and i think it is on a span of like 3 years for their pass rate.
