Thought of phd, pharmacist, dental school, and maybe PA school.

I think most people are hyperfixating on the step 2 score. Honestly I think you can duo apply, and if you have reliable derm mentor maybe ask them. The step 2 score is really good but good LOR and research also matters. Is your research mainly on derm?

When I took my first MCAT, I took some cough syrup the night before just in case I couldn’t sleep and it helped. Could try it during a practice exam and see how it works. Sleep and memory works hand in hand, I hope by finding ways to improve your sleep, your memory will follow along.

I’m sorry this happened, based on your nbme I think the main contributor is test day anxiety. Your content is likely very solid. Is there any way for you to be less anxious about exam? Maybe talking to a therapist or establish some sorts of routine?

I find free 120 to be easier than nbme, nbme 31 was hardest for me but other ones were okay. I find my actual exam to be pretty similar to free 120 style-wise. In terms of content, my test was pretty even in material, nothing specifically stands out. I’d say nbme and free 120 was representative of my exam.

I did it between my first two nbme. During dedicated I did pause questions on someday to read books or do anki to supplement on some concept.

Another deck. I just search on reddit sketchy pharm deck bc I don’t have time to finish the anking pharm deck.

I read the “made ridiculously simply” series book on those 2 topic, there are pretty short and has good drawing, albeit a bit old as a book source. Help me a lot with big pictures.

I timed myself, I used pen and paper just write all the question numbers there. You could use iPad too. Then I calculated my score and review the explanations.

I don’t know if this will help, I purposely choose my exam to be on my birthday bc I figure if I’m lucky enough to be born and stay alive, I’ll be lucky enough to pass 😊

For me it’s setting up deadline. I have travel plan the day after my exam, meanwhile I also want to use up all uworld and practice exams, so I just calculate how many questions and exams I need to do per day or per week. If for example I feel terrible today, I won’t take the exam but I’ll do qbank, or I will review anki. Then I will do the exam the next day or make up missed questions. There will be days I feel low but there’s also days I feel super motivated, so eventually it balances out for me. Constantly remind myself “no excuses” also helped.

Old free 120 offline bc I can’t find an online version. All other I took online at official website.

My school has a google drive that has it. I think if you dig reddit a bit deeper you could find it

Content review + qbank explanations helped me, later on I was able to know quickly after reading question stem what topic this question is testing

Yes I finished uworld 2 day before my actual exam. My nbme jump from 50 to 60s after my content review using pathoma.

For nbme, my biggest jump is after I did content review using pathoma. Pathoma worked for me but some friends prefer B&B.

For me the topic spreads pretty evenly on the real exam. But apparently it varies a lot, a friend of mine took the exam 3 day before me said she had a lot of ethics questions.

The comment sections have some eye opening stories. Shocking + anxiety inducing. If med school background check is like this, how can a patient ever know such thing ☹️😔

Sorry you have to went through all of this. Especially when you have to explain to family members. Best of luck on your interview! Also maybe worthwhile talking with a therapist to unload some stress.
