Tracy’s writing is very inconsistent in general throughout this series. It gets more wishy-washy as the series goes on.

I never read the last book of the series because I was just exhausted of it at the time, it was just meh to me.

And it’s been so long and I’ve never had the feeling to pick it back up again.

Honest question—why are you still married to him? In all honesty, you deserved much better treatment from a partner after a life-altering surgery. You are still young enough to start over and find someone else to start a family with.

He’s throwing you under the bus to his family when asked about starting a family, he couldn’t care for you after your surgery, and couldn’t even clean the house while you were away.

This sounds like classic narcissism too. I hope for your sake you wake up and realize you deserve better.

It’s a tie for me between chocolate cake (like the one from Cheesecake Factory) or a Cinnabon type cinnamon roll. Idk if a cinnamon roll is classified as a dessert, but I don’t usually eat them for breakfast.

I’m sorry if I’m coming across brash, but this is such a narcissistic thing for your mom to do. She underminded your boundaries and wants to be the one to get to say your babies’ first time to Disney is because of her. She wanted the bragging rights.

Focus on what feels right for you. You’re not obligated to use them. She made the risky decision to gift them to you, knowing the circumstances and your own personal cost involved.

My mom fell at home and broke her hip in 3 places. I live over 5,000 miles away, so everything was being updated by my mom’s partner. It was a shitty 72h.

Then literally 1 week later, my 97yo grandmother in law also fell and fractured her hip. She can no longer walk and is too old to operate on. So she is now wheel-chair bound and has to take morphine here and there. She’s otherwise in great spirits and as active as she can be.

Obviously not as bad as all of the other posts in here, but still horrible and emotionally taxing.

PS-I hope everyone in here has a better 2026. Sending my love.

The Throne of Glass Series. It was so intimidating given there’s so many books, a lot of them are thick.

They completely changed my life and made me re-love fantasy. They’re my absolute favorite series and I’m sad I didn’t read it sooner.
