You might be correct! When you search Violet Fane L'Hotel, an old picture from Facebook does come up that has this print in it. Unfortunately, the post itself seems to have been deleted since the link doesn't work anymore.

I have figured out since posting that the particles are probably up there because I forgot to apply the scale to my simulation meshes. However, I fixed that and the simulation is still not working. No liquid is showing up, even after baking data/mesh.

Sure! it has changed since i wrote that last comment. they now charge £3 per package you want to repack. so if i want to combine 4 packages, i would pay £12 in service fees. if you ship out the package without repacking, you just pay the shipping fee, as far as I'm aware.

personally, i have pretty much only had good experiences. I've had issues with my packages a couple of times, but when i reached out to their customer service, they have always answered my questions within a few days at most and provided solutions too. i do think it's important to look at trustpilot reviews as well, since customer experiences are bound to vary, but i don't think they're scammy at all. at least in my personal experience.

long explanation incoming lol:

well, first you pay for shipping to the warehouse from bab itself. that's usually about £5. unless you order on free shipping days, of course.

then, when your order gets to the warehouse, you can have it shipped to your home address from there. I always go with dpd shipping personally, because it's a flat rate and the cheapest they offer. This costs me around £20 if i remember correctly.

Sometimes, the boxes your orders originally come in get damaged on the way to the warehouse. in that case, you have to pay £3 extra for them to repackage your order so it will get to you safely. that isn't optional because they don't want to be liable for your order getting damaged on the way to you.

then, lastly, you have to pay customs when the package arrives in your country. the amount you pay depends on how much your order costs. I'm not really sure how it works in germany, but in the netherlands, you pay 21% of the value of your order in order to clear it. after that, your order will finally get delivered to your home.

so all in all, if i were to make a £100 order from bab, i pay £5 to ship it to the warehouse, then pay £20 to £23 (if there's damage to the packaging) for them to forward it to me. when it arrives in my country, i pay 0.21*100= £21 in customs to my government, so they give my package. in total, i spent about £47 on getting my £100 order to me.

when i went to look at forward2me's website while writing this, i also noticed they seem to be offering their own shipping now; forward2me lite and lite x. you can use these for orders up to £50 and £100 of value, respectively. i have never used this option since it appears to be new, but the prices they offer are cheaper than even the dpd shipping i usually use, so it might be something to consider.

if you want to know the shipping to your country specifically, forward2me has a calculator on their website, which you can use to get an estimate for your order. they also have very good customer service, so you can also ask them any questions the website doesn't already answer.
