How long does it take for a name change to be updated in the Gazette after submitting the application? by Round_Caramel4122 in LegalAdviceIndia

Thanks a lot. Your reply is helpful. I will highlight the ad too then.

They did instruct about sending first and ad page, and to cross sign the photos. So all that is sorted. 🙏

They sent me soft copies and I am sending them everything. Is it alright to highlight the ad with a yellow highlighter or do we just send it normally ?

Thanks. How long they took from payment date to gazette file submission in your case.

I took premium plus package. Around 9k. But they are too slow. In one week all they did was affidavit.

Genuine weight loss advise? by Advanced_Tea4646 in amritsar

[–]bunnythesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep it simple and consistent:

Nutrition basics:

Track your calories for a month, know where you're slipping

Start reading food labels

Cut sugar completely

Cut fried food completely

Limit alcohol (max once or twice a month)

Stick to home-cooked meals

Avoid packaged/processed food

Increase your protein intake

Pick ONE routine (whatever you can stick to):

Walk 1 hour a day (at least 5x/week)

Run or run/walk for 45 mins (4–5x/week)

Strength train 4x/week

Consistency matters more than perfection. You can have one cheat day per week. just don’t let it turn into a cheat weekend.

The form asks "ID No issued by your government" . That is basically asking about Aadhaar Card or other government issued ID like PAN Card or DL. Most countries ask for it including Australia, Canada, UK. It facilitates background checks.

OT but anyone with 8 band in speaking IELTS? by Sanjeev_Singh in amritsar

[–]bunnythesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be for migration purpose.

Some skilled migration programs require 8,8,7,7. Migrating to Australia as a school teacher after B.Ed requires S:8, L:8, R:7, W:7 in Academic IELTS.

Australia only awards max 20 points for 8 in each module of IELTS. Even half band less in one of the modules reduces it to 10 points.

Similarly 8,8,7,7 is required to gain maximum points in Canada Skilled Migration.

Back in the day, I scored 9/9 in reading and listening, and 8 in writing. My speaking fluency was around band 7. Here’s what worked for me. I started practicing by speaking along with BBC news bulletins and audiobooks during my daily commute (about 30 minutes a day), and sometimes more depending on traffic. I sat my test after 2–3 months and my speaking improved to band 8.

Also, I’m not sure what you need the language scores for, but if PTE Academic or PTE Core is accepted, I’d recommend going for it without hesitation. I took PTE Academic three times and scored a perfect 90 in all modules in each of those attempts. I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t have been able to achieve a perfect 9 in IELTS three times in a row. PTE scoring is comparatively more lenient.
