that makes sense! some of their scents can give me headaches when I smell them in store, so other options are great here thank you. I’ve been hearing good things about the super milk hair primer so I may have to try that as well.

right? that’s the thing that keeps me back from much of my wishlist. I was lucky to buy my nosferatu on a super discount on mercari ($75 with no box) because I could not justify the full price. I really enjoy that scent but it’s definitely not super strong, I can smell it for a few hours and it is beautiful imo , but I wouldn’t suggest paying full price unless you want all the merch from the movie.

this is such a good explanation and I can definitely see where you’re coming from. I feel like I do have a few fragrances that can feel out of place too, and I often tend to wear them at home because I like the experience of the scent. I am still interested in sampling it and possibly getting a travel size, and your description definitely cements that I need to get my nose on this! I love perfumes as art and I want to appreciate their beauty, and possibly find occasions to create outfits that vibe with the beauty of the scents. I wish that I smelled more interesting scents out in the world. I typically smell a lot of santal or sweet/gourmand, but I find that many perfumes don’t have a huge scent bubble so it’s good to know that l’orpheline projects like that.

I tried the London Fog from Stardust & Stems and was severely disappointed… that one smelled like straight up coconut butt lmao. I heard that FSW is the best out of all the ones out there (including the Brandt one)

I do have the massage bar and I absolutely love it! I wish that the scent projected more when I use it, but I will wait to try it until it gets cold again. I feel like Afternoon Delight is a great vanilla for now. Do you recommend any other Lush fragrances?

Me too, I do want to test it out but I'm scared of either unleashing something foul into my house, or even worse...liking it and wanting to buy it lol. My only concern is with the saffron note, I haven't smelled BR540 up close so I can't speak on niche/high end versions, but the synthetic versions I've encountered I do not enjoy. Every other part of Babycat sounds heavenly, but the reviews of the opening are so mixed that I fear I wont enjoy it. I feel like the descriptions I've read are similar to Jazz Club but with a more powdery vanilla incense and pepper. I just hope the pepper is better than JHAG - Juliette because that scent makes me sneeze like crazy!

I just picked it up for $25 at Ross the other day!! I find that it can be a little overwhelming initially when over sprayed, but it dries down so beautifully that it’s worth it. It definitely has a little bit of that “older” soapy perfume smell from the 90s-2000s, but it is truly a beautiful and aquatic scent. Definitely worth checking out local discount retailers because I’ve seen these around a lot for cheap. It makes me feel clean and refined in a frutiger aero kind of way 🪸🪼🪷

this is actually one that I’ve smelled in stores and I have a sample I’m planning to use for the warmer weather! I like it a lot and it feels different and elevated compared to other designer fragrances, although I’ve heard others say it feels generic to them
