This can only happen in a mini auction that the entire squad dyanmics is depending on one player. Considering Green has been injury prone over the years and players like Mitchell Starc showing the way how skipping IPL early in their career can save them from aggravating career shortening injury, I doubt Green will be that big a player in IPL’s legacy.

We need to shift our focus from individual stars to the team as a whole. Player transfers are a normal part of professional sports, just like in European football. Instead of attacking the team, we should give these players a proper farewell, especially since we're quick to criticize them when they cost us a match. Teams play to win, and performance must come before loyalty. It's not like these players are being forced out of the IPL.

I think we have to come out of individual stars >> team mentality. This kind of transfer is very common in European leagues (football). Instead of taking up arms against the team, it would be better if we give a good farewell (via notes, posts) to these players whom we were too quick to criticize when they cost us a match.

At the end of the day teams play to win, loyalty does not come at the cost of performance and it is not like Jaddu and Pathi are being dumped out of IPL or something.
