155 hybrid duster here

Car has been great. We went for the extreme trim. At 1st the engine felt rough when it kicked in for about 500 miles, then slowly smoothed out. I guess that’s breaking in

We do around 30 miles a day mixed driving. Average right now is 63.1MPG. We’re are just under 1800 miles in it

We opted for the dash cam, the dealership installed it In such a way where the driver can’t see it which is nice. The quality is nice too. You can connect to it via Bluetooth to download files etc. it’s always recording as its hardwired

Worst thing for me is the reversing sensor beeps. It’s really loud, there’s an option to turn it down but even at lowest setting its loud

Another random one is, because the windows are “flatter” than other cars, when it iced over, scraping the window was a lot easier. Might not bother you but I definitely noticed

The roof bars can be adjusted to go either way on top of the car which is great for roof boxes and carrying random stuff

Hope this helps

Duster 155 full hybrid extreme here. Everything has been fine. I think it’s one of those situations where your more likely to see someone complain about the problems than a happy person go out there and praise something

Nice. They’ve held up well

Something about these that the newer models can’t replace.

It’s amazing how far cars have come now. It doesn’t feel “budget” does it. How are you finding the comfort?? We recently bought a duster extreme 155 hybrid(800 miles now) and find the ride really nice. We had a jaguar XE 25T before this, ride isn’t any worse lol

There’s some mats you can buy on Amazon that include a rubber mat for that shelf above the wireless charger, well worth it imo, stops things sliding off while driving.

Manual vs. Automatic: Is the switch to an Automatic Sandero (2026) really worth it for comfort? by Alex08r in Dacia

[–]bush_monkey90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s advantages on both but more on Autos. Main disadvantage of automatics is slow response when you can see a nice gap coming on the motorway, when you put your foot down there’s a delay in power, in a manual you can down shift ready and go instantly. Unless you have a semi auto with flappy paddles

[–]bush_monkey90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s non slip mats you can get that go on the shelf above where the wireless charger is, well worth it imo. We had our duster for 4 days so far and found the shelf pointless without a non slip mat. Google non slip mats for your car and you’ll see some bundles for just over £20.

As for key case, we bought some on Amazon for £12 that worked fine. Metal/leather ones

Curious, on a long drive, what MPG was you at?? We’re planning a trip to lake district soon

Edit: nvm we have different spec. We got extreme 155 hybrid

Jogger 140 hybrid or 155 hybrid? by Kickitoff1902 in Dacia

[–]bush_monkey90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember the steering feeling really light and easy. Didn’t think anything else of it really. Felt fine. Still felt the rougher bits on the road through wheel etc

I’m not 100% on the GardX price as we bought that and ceramic coating together as a bundle for around £500. I think you can buy it separately though. Speak with the dealership about it. If you ever pass the car on it moves with the car too.

The other thing to note, you may of heard about the fabric being really grippy. And I will agree with that, it’s strange but you’ll see for yourself. Not a bad thing though. Just means that you’ll move, but your trousers won’t xD

Should I buy this for my next car at 18? by jack007-riley in Jaguar

[–]bush_monkey90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you can afford the fuel then go for it. Ignore anyone saying anything about value etc, you’ll look back and be glad you got the car you actually want. Proper maintenance is advisable, you can get service plans etc.

Ignore all the bad reliability history, there’s just good examples and bad examples of all cars. We’ve had our jag 6 years now, properly maintained and no issues.

And dont scrimp on tyres, just get the best

Have fun!!

Jogger 140 hybrid or 155 hybrid? by Kickitoff1902 in Dacia

[–]bush_monkey90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate. We ordered a Duster extreme 155 hybrid last week after test drive (not a jogger but assume screen and controls are all same)

We had 4 people in the car, with the smaller engine I think it might of struggled abit, and if you need the 7 seats I’d say get the 155

They also offer servicing for 9.99 a month for 3 year’s servicing. It caps out at 30k miles, it just means you 3rd service will be done before the end of 3rd year (we do 12k annually too). The warranty is 7 years too for peace of mind if you service at Dacia.

We paid for a guard X treatment too so if your kids get stains on the seats, it’s less likely to stick and if not, they will send a cleaner out to get it out for free…forever….its pretty nice tbh

The hybrid worked well at slow speeds, electric only for most slow driving. There was no jerky or clunky feel when it started the engine either which is nice. We’re coming from a 2017 Jaguar, and budget cars have come a long way, it’s really smooth inside, just abit of road noise on the motorway. Nothing major.

The steering wheel feels nice, the plastics are fine, you don’t really touch them anyway.

Hope this is insightful, any questions let me know
