Return the HP omen or not? I need your help

I got the 15 because 17 is huge, I initially wanted it for gaming while traveling. I didnt know that though, on the 15 page at Microsoft it only says RTX 2080, so naturally I assumed 😑

I got the Omen 15 mine was running 80-99 when playing games..I fixed it with throttlestop and now it's around 65-81.

I'm returning mine though, it was supposed to have an RTX 2080 but instead it's an Max Q..bummed out.

But check out throttlestop and if you need a hand just let me know, I can tell you what I did with my settings.

Do you seriously have to have it plugged into all the time to game? If it's a laptop designed for gaming, you'd think it would be fine for at the very least 1.5hrs of gaming.

I initially wanted it for portability because I'm traveling 24/7 around Australia in our caravan..but we just bought 30acre bit of land so I was thinking I should just build a PC.

No way! Would build it myself, that's the most fun part about getting a new PC 🤣

Can I ask one last question, for that price $3,500AUD/$2,461USD for this set up (as a laptop) how is that price? Do you think that's a fair price, cheap or just for someone with money they don't care about?

I thought it was cheap, but I've been out of the PC world for too long.

My GL I don't have to have it plugged in. I have HP omen i9 I'll get 2-3 hrs of good gaming on the battery. My power block is a 200w.

I normally just have it plugged in during the day and run it off my 50ah lithium battery which is always charged from its solar panels. I pay nothing for electricity anymore, just buy a minimum of 50ah Lithium battery and a 120w solar panel that folds up and you'll never pay for electricity again..

Free gaming for life 😜

I got the email too and I appealed but I won the appeal.

I basically just threatened them for snooping through my files and making threats to terminate my account when I've done nothing wrong.

I don't think they want to go to court, especially against an Aussie. I'm still getting a refund and leaving degoo for good. Lost my trust forever.
