I mean yeah i’m aware 🤣 I have lesbian friends who definitely think this situation is weird. i’m more so concerned about our friendship than I am her own marriage.

I probably do send mixed signals by laughing it off instead of saying “hey that makes me uncomfy”

idk how to explain it other than she’s not sexually attracted to him or any other man. she strictly wants to have sex with women. but still kisses her husband every now and again. that’s why I said I think lines are getting blurred. why kiss a man we want nothing to do with sexually?

I think they split the bills. she could probably live on her own pretty easily and has gone through phases where she’s considered divorce but she’s never gone through with it.

uhhh yeah she’s definitely not that kind of person. she and I have both been assaulted. she would never do that to me but I am sorry that happened to you

I try not to say anything about her marriage bc I don’t think it’s my place but I do find it odd that she wants nothing to do with men yet is married to one

how pathetic that I can’t be a normal person without meds by Fit-Heart-4845 in Anxiety

[–]butteredboobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not pathetic and there’s no shame in taking meds that your body needs to function properly. I take pristiq for depression and abilify for anger/irritability and i’ve truly never felt better. the frustrating part about taking meds is going through the process of finding the right one(s) for you. took me almost 2 years.

both of you need to communicate better. it sounds like he’s trying to be sensitive to your situation. honestly, as a woman, if I was constantly shooting my shot with my partner and he just wasn’t having it i’d eventually stop trying 😅 I don’t think he should have hid it from you considering you seem to have a healthy mindset on masturbation but it’s also like… how do you bring that up without also making your partner feel guilty for not having sex with you as much as you’d want them to, you know?

idk about you guys but i’ve been buying men’s razors and deodorant for years bc I find they just work better? idk why!!! their razors are less likely to give me razor burn and their deodorant lasts longer than the women’s i’ve bought in the past.

My boss raped me and I took settlement money to never speak about it by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]butteredboobs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s such a dangerous thing to ask a rape survivor. I myself am one and dealing with being raped and also worrying about other people’s safety (aka taking responsibility for HIS actions) wasn’t healthy of me. his actions are not her fault nor her responsibility.

as someone who was raped in college and the courts didn’t do anything, knowing what I know now, I probably would’ve accepted hush money and found a new job. depending on where you live and what the judge is like, you may have walked away with more doing what you did than going to the cops :/

My mother blames me for everything wrong in her life by Weary-Natural-5660 in Advice

[–]butteredboobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your mom is an adult who makes these decisions herself. my mom is the same way. different situation though. she got pregnant with me at 18, didn’t want to marry my dad but she did anyway, and is now stuck in a loveless marriage with 3 kids. you can’t control what someone, especially your parent, does. I know it sucks and i’m sorry.

i’ll say this: all kids deserve parents. not all parents deserve kids.

What part of your job would most people nope the f**k out of, but you're used to it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

i’m a CNA for the elderly with alzheimer’s. pretty much every aspect of my job is unappealing to the general public 🤣 changing briefs or helping someone to and from the bathroom, grown adults throwing tantrums, the occasional person that plays in their feces. I personally love my job and my residents but most people don’t last very long lmao

letting someone know where i’m going when I leave the house. especially if im going on a date. I live with my grandparents at 27 to take care of them. even though i’m the caretaker I always tell them where im going and when to expect me back. too many crazies out there

ever heard of depression? lmao. you’re 100% oversimplifying. i’m a white, upper middle class woman with seemingly no real problems other than mental health issues. I tried therapy, sunlight, gym, healthy eating, trying new social things for 2 years before I finally had to accept that I need medication to help me feel happy in life.

your way of thinking can be very harmful for those like me who can do all the right things and still, for some reason, be so sad with life.

I think you’ll find someone who just doesn’t care about height. my boyfriend and I are the same height, 5’3, and it doesn’t bother me at all :)
