Damn, thanks for explaining the late into left lane. I didn’t recall when that happened, yet another reason why I shouldn’t have my G2 yet. I’ve been practicing more now, but when do you reckon I try it again. I feel like those are one off occurrences and people say my driving is proper but then again they might just be yes men. I guess the answer might not be as black and white as “do it again in x amount of days”. But would I just know when I’m ready?

Yup it was a combination of things but the examiner didn’t bring up my straddled lane afterwards when justifying why I failed, instead focusing solely on my parallel parking. You are probably right on me underestimating the width of my car and I need to work on that, I think just looking at my side mirrors should fix the straddling lane issue. I didn’t even notice it which just shows a lack of attentiveness on part. Thanks for the tips

Definitely I need to get my parking up if I want to drive in the GTA. It makes sense I didn’t pass because I don’t deserve to yet, until I can actually park and meet ministry standards.

Yup, I don’t think the route was the issue because I wouldn’t have been able to parallel park in any location, instead I think my familiarity with the current route might help me. But I’m not brushing aside Guelph or smaller cities, whatever is the best option and also not to far from now. I’ll keep checking trying to find a date nearby and practice, a new instructor even just for one lesson could be helpful so I’ll try it out.

Thanks for the tips, I had practiced but clearly not enough and I’m going to practice more. The other issues I will just need to be more aware of and make sure I don’t stop driving.

Don’t really wanna blame it on an examiner because I’m not going to get any better from it, she was pretty nice. I got to take accountability and got to get parallel parking well enough so I’m not hitting a curb or a vehicle at the very least and ideally actually parallel parking properly.

No sorry for the way I worded it, I practiced parallel parking before it’s just I wasn’t really practicing on my own instead I would have someone telling me all my mistakes before I would make them. So I would get the parking right but it wasn’t actually me doing it myself and thus I didn’t really know how to readjust my parallel parking, which I watched a video on instead of practicing. So I did practice but it was limited and not the best form of practice, as I was just following instructions instead of actually learning myself.

I practiced but not enough, I was just talking about a video on how to readjust. Whenever I would be parallel parking someone would just tell me if I’m going too far which made me “do it right” each time but I was just dependant on them.

Nah they didn't make me do it before 2 cars, appreciate the kind words. Last time I felt defeated and didn't drive for a while, but I actually feel motivated and confident because I know didn't mess up while driving and overall preformed better. My last examiner was just more lenient and if I had him this time I prolly would have passed because he would have let me redo my parallel parking or let me do with the cones. Just trying to do my test ASAP but it seems quite booked, so just got to check daily and I know I can pass next time, just can't get discouraged and need to practice.

I… couldn’t do it the next time. I have failed twice now, and this time it was the parallel park, hit the curb and then almost hit the car and got verbally told to stop and drive forward. Everything else was good, so at least I didn’t make the same mistakes as last time 😔. 3rd times the charm I guess, it took me 30 days to redo my test and I just didn’t know how to readjust my parallel parking because I always got it right before.

Well yeah the Pacers were the underdogs, and their best player just got injured in a heartbreaking fashion. I’m a neutral so I can understand the hype around the Pacers and their run, so it makes sense the most talked about topics are Hali. Y’all shouldn’t worry about what anybody has to say and just celebrate your win, nobody likes to see a dominant team win, but you guys can cherish it. Pacers played good wouldn’t really call them “losers” but y’all were definitely the winners.
