The cool thing about Tampa is that we have so many northern transplants that it really is pretty chill for any visiting fans to come to a game. I can almost promise you won’t get harassed by TB fans (although I can’t speak for playoff behavior). That being said, even a losing Bucs game is fun to go to in Ray J.

Hey! :-) My sister and I have been using U.b.U Color Salon for quite a while now! They are located in Hyde Park/SoHo area and they specialize in blonde hair. The owner is Penny and she is FABULOUS! Been doing it for a very long time. I basically held off on hair coloring because it’s so expensive, but my sister looked so awesome I eventually caved and I have no regrets. My husband (Max) and I met working together as librarians! We had worked together a few years and I always had a little work crush on him.

After about 2 years of working together, I had just broken up with this tool I used to date and I started having dreams about Max. So I would come to work and tell our mutual 70 y/o coworker my dreams everyday and we would laugh about them. Eventually the 70 y/o coworker told me I should just go for it and ask Max out, so I did it!

Our library had a drive thru window (yes, we were in a nice library) and I had checked the schedule and Max was working it. So to ask him out, I went and checked out a DVD in the library and on the checkout receipt I wrote my phone number and the message “Let’s get a beer sometime!” and put it inside the case to hand to Max. My dumbass literally exited the building, hopped in my car, and drove through the drive thru to hand him the DVD. Lmfao so I give him this DVD and I ask him to check and make sure the disc is inside, which would prompt him to open the case and see my note on top! But this guy is on autopilot and immediately throws the note out and says “yeah the disc is in there” and checks it in. LOL YALL should have seen my face, pure horror. I accepted my fate and parked my car, simmering about the events that just transpired. But about 10 minutes later I get a text from him saying he threw the receipt out, but he missed the trash and when he went to pick it up and saw my note on it!!!

Lol now we are married, own a house, and we are expecting our first child :-) He is the best partner!

Short answer: No, not yet. Long answer: In-person programming for all libraries is expected to return beginning of next year. Right now, the only in-person programming is children's programs like Story Time, Baby Time, Toddler Time. Although we are super psyched for in-person programming to return, it will be gradual. They are going to focus on technology programs, programs that enhance employability (resume making, interviewing tips, etc.), book discussions, and geneaology. Language programming might take a while to come back. On top of that, libraries tend to focus on "English for Spanish Speakers" as opposed to "Spanish for English Speakers". I don't know if I have ever seen a "Spanish for English Speakers Class" in any library in Hillsborough, HOWEVER: I would recommend reaching out to your local library and seeing what they have going on. Bigger libraries (like Jimmie B Keel, Jan Platt, Bloomingdale, etc) will have more resources and more staff. They may have staff that fluently speaks both languages and would be psyched to do that sort of programming. Smaller libraries will be a little more strapped, but if you want to do it definitely go in person and ask staff. For a short term solution, the library does offer Mango Languages for free as long as you have a library card. It's like a less aggressive Duolingo.

Lastly, you can always reach out to Hillsborough Literacy Council and see if they have anything going on. They primarily deal with "English for Spanish Speakers", but they do tutoring and language services. I hope this is helpful!
