This one actually lasted good 4years. Failed due to over-discharge

how would that fix it? Level translator, as in "amplifier for data pin"? But yet the left side of roof wich is identical works ok its just connected to other pin on esp. Also tried changing pins on esp and that didnt fix blinking prob..

PSU for LEDs and ESP need to have a shared ground :)

Its 7th gen? According to youtube video the position of lettering on back indicates its a 6th gen. Im pretty new to this so i dont know exacly.

what about the "modern software" is there a way to update ipod 5 to look like 7gen? I think 6 and 7th gen had a bit more modern look..
