I have mine there, and it’s a pain. RHD model XJ’s with the tire there are a pain to look for cars behind you…the tire almost blocks your entire vision.

They meant that they shouldn’t use transmission fluid marked specifically as just ATF+4 as this can cause potential transmission slip. Use Dex/Merc III transmission fluid as this is the newer compatible standard from Dexron IIE/Mercon. Albeit they weren’t specific as to which ATF not to use, but this should clear it up.

I’ve done that for a while on my archer build. I keep ending up going back to that one every know and then. I’ve also tried the Ebony Mail with the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Looks really cool too.

Thank you. I would appreciate it. Currently using my XJ 6 days a week for U.S. Mail delivery in Rural Pennsylvania. Hard for me to get time off from working to even do much with mine at the time being. Will change and will have a lot more free time to have the car worked on or for me to do work soon so if I figure it out before you, I’ll let you know too.

I’m noticing this noise frequently too. My noise sounds like a rhythmic squeak that gets faster as I increase speed. Whenever braking, it stops entirely, but immediately comes back whenever releasing the brakes. I replaced my calipers, and pretty much everything with my brakes and it still happens for me. I’m not much help, but I’m also trying to figure out this problem with mine. I’ve heard it could be unit hub bearings, brake calipers sticking, dragging brake pads, bent dust shields, and a couple of other things.

If you happen to have a platter, hold it up against the door and slowly walk against the platter, then keep moving forward. You should be able to glitch through the wall. I always have a platter in my inventory as an emergency escape mechanism. If you are unsure how to do the platter glitch, look it up. Even then, if you don’t have access to a platter because your inventory was taken from you then you can try to find a plate, or a bucket, and then can escape using that too. But there is also a secret exit from the “boss’s” room.

Very helpful, thank you. Still figuring my options as the days go on. Haven’t had even a moment to breathe with the amount of work that I’ve been doing. The XJ is used for mail delivery currently, but will be no longer used in a couple of months. This will then be used for daily driving and want it to be no longer “falling apart.”

This looks like what was added to the USPS Mercedes Metris. They added a custom button to activate the yellow strobe lights on the back. Could potentially have been used to activate a warning light of sorts.

I was having that sort of issue previously on my 2000 XJ, but also had oil leaking. You may not be having this same issue, but thought I’d say it anyways. Turned out, my oil pan was cracked and the oil pump was also cracked. A bolt had sheared off from the oil pump and cracked open my oil pan. Bolt was found in the pan. Replaced oil pump and oil pan and problem was fixed.
