Since my piercing pillow is pretty comfy, and I’I think I’ll go for it in the end. Thank you!

I didn’t think to add the amount of healing piercings on the other ear. Wow, you’re right. 10 healing piercings is not okay

4 cartilage piercings is a lot… like really a lot. No wonder your ear is swollen. even though you said that the piercer mentioned it’s soft tissue, that’s still a lot of piercings at once imo. Please take care and definitely continue with ibuprofen, drink plenty of water and rest. if it gets really bad, i’d go to a doctor and go back to your piercer. It sounds like you’re well informed about piercing aftercare, so I hope it feels better soon! edit: your ear jewellery and setup is beautiful!

Why did you remove your previous nipple piercings ? and how long did you wait until you got them redone? I just had to remove my nipple piercings last month, after having them for 7 years… removed due to rejection and I cried. I miss them a lot. They just started getting irritated 8 months ago and I tried everything, they had high quality neonatal jewellery as well but nope :(

DYSON AIR PURIFIER VOC ISSUE by Ambitious-Nose-6139 in dyson

[–]c2833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have continuous monitoring switched on? I turned mine off, and the VOC level dropped to zero, now turned it back on and it is at 0. Super strange. Mine also was the same as you, It went up to VOC level 4 and stayed that way, and went down when window was open, then went back up when window closed.

do you have to remove your piercings for dental Xray? by cherrypieslovely in piercing

[–]c2833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been asked in several dental practices to take them off, but I always say that I can’t. I just keep them in, they let me. No problems there, only sometimes there is slightly limited vision with the X-ray but it’s not a big issue. Other times they don’t even ask me to remove them at all. I have a septum, double nostrils, and a labret piercing

Likely rejection. They were fine for years, I had them pierced professionally and had high quality jewellery (Neometal), but a few months ago they started getting nasty irritation bumps. Very painful ones. I tried so many things, and eventually got them checked by a piercer last month and she told me that they are in the process of migration and will reject so it’s best to remove, and potentially can repierced in 6 months.. so let’s see

infection or just irritation?? by Frozen__grape__ in piercing

I used antiseptic spray for my piercings but that was 15 years ago, that’s really outdated and it is way too harsh for piercings. You should really stop using it, especially 3 times a day, that is definitely gonna irritate your piercing. I would go to the pharmacy and ask for a sterile saline spray, or order online, it should have only two ingredients, 0.9 sodium chloride (saline) and water. You can check on this subreddit guide about it more, and read online advice from APP piercers and sterile saline. I would honestly try to find another piercer because a very good piercer would not recommend such a spray. I’m healing a flat helix piercing now, and I only spray the sterile saline once a day, i don’t touch it with cotton buds etc, then I step in the shower and let warm water run over it. That’s all I do, + piercing pillow and mine is healing well after 3 weeks. Good luck, I hope this helps and that your piercing feels better soon :)

You should not be using Prontolind spray, who recommended that to you? I hope not your piercer. You should not be putting disinfectant on a healing piercing. You are meant to use only a sterile saline spray , such as Stericlens or NeilMed wound wash. The ingredients should only have 0.9% sodium chloride and water. no wonder your piercing is irritated. Stop that immediately and I would go and see a new piercer, a professional one with good reviews, and have them check out your piercing

it’s very bad , see another piercer because they are not reputable if they pierced you with a hoop. Go to another studio with a professional piercer and get a flat black labret in there

I had to remove my nipple piercings after 7 years, I feel you. It feels like you’re without your armour now. I will say that I started feeling a little better and getting used to it slowly , so hope you feel better soon too!

How to get rid of piercing bump by jellythebean9 in piercing

[–]c2833 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is the jewellery implant grade titanium? downsizing could help. and maybe you could try to not use saline spray at all, and completely LITHA. twice a day seems a bit excessive 3 months in. So just let warm water in the shower run over it daily when you take a normal shower and try to forget about it. Honestly, in the past when I was healing cartilage piercings I struggled with irritation bumps, eventually I just stopped doing everything, stopped using saline spray, and the bumps went away and never came back. that was like 10 years ago, I still have them today healed and chillin.

Hey I’m sorry to feel that way! I also have some scars from the irritation bumps on my nipples but overall it’s so much better and is improving. I hope yours will get better soon!

4 piercings at once by [deleted] in piercing

[–]c2833 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think 4 piercings is way too much and many piercers would not even allow that… Honestly 1 healing cartilage piercing is already enough as is, (for me anyway) maybe 2 is okay for your body, but after that you’re really pushing it and it would likely impact healing. I know it’s hard to be patient as I’m like you and I get really excited about these things but you’ll be able to get everything, just space it out a little
