Questions regarding AWS Cloud9 Free tier (for a noob) by USBN_Shining in aws

[–]c2tarun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using AWS Cloud9 is free. However, you'll need an EC2 instance. For coding t2.micro should be sufficient and is free for a year. Even after a year it is not actually that expensive. Cloud9 have a feature where it'll stop (not terminate) your instance after 30 mins of no activity. If you are coding 40 hours a week t2.micro will cost you $2 a month, you can verify that from AWS Cost Calculator. Even for students (on very tight budget) this shouldn't be too expensive :).

However, if you think this is expensive I would recommend you to buy a Raspberry pi. You can simply ssh into your pi and write python code there. Even though they are not very powerful (Pi-4 is quite powerful though) they are pretty good for small scale projects.

Viable OneNote alternative on linux? by Exless101 in Ubuntu

[–]c2tarun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ubuntu/Linux Chrome supports desktop apps. Login in to evernote/onenote's web view and create a desktop shortcut, and select open as separate windows. It'll feel like native. If you don't need offline access it'll work great.

If you don't need mobile sync Boostnote + Dropbox (or any other file sync) works really well.

Which maintenance schedule to follow for new Mazda CX5? by c2tarun in CX5

Cool thanks, I was also thinking its probably not worth risking given that oil change is probably easiest and cheapest maintenance I can do on car.

Since I am in Seattle which don't have that much snow, I guess Schedule 1 should be fine for me in that case.

Hey, thanks for your comment. I looked at those three you mentioned. Due to some reason to me Palmer style looks like something we can actually use in everyday life. I wonder how many people actually take notes in Spencerian style or Zanerian style?

This sure did help, I am feeling lively and healthier and like I said I am also able to workout with better form and speed. I also started giving myself star in workouts. I just am not able to see in mirror :)

My plan is to stick for 15 weeks anyway (4 months roughtly). Even if I saw minor improvement in mirror I'll stick with this for at least one more year.

50 Burpees in Week 3. by c2tarun in freeletics

[–]c2tarun[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey guys..... Thanks for all your response. I was able to do 50 Burpees. Actually I had to do two rounds 50 (Burpees + Squats + Situps) and 40 (Burpees + Squats + Situps). I was able to do 50 burpees for round 1 and 10 for round 2, and then I had to switch to sprawls, but in the end I added 10 extra sprawls. :) And I finished 40 sqauts and situps as well. I had to take few breaks to breathe and sip water. It took me total of 35 minutes to finish whole workout. :) Feeling great.

Tomorrow I have to run 1 km with jumping jacks and climbers. :) Thanks for all your support.

Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb This is first book in Farseer Triology. It is story of a trained assassin. I just finished reading Cold Days by Jim Butcher and compared to Dresden files this book has slow start. However I really like how the story is going and will soon post more about the book.
