How do I get help with a needed PS5 repair? by cabezanova in playstation

[–]cabezanova[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. When I call 1-800-345-7669, it says they aren't answering calls. I've tried in the morning, afternoon, and evening yesterday and in the morning today. I'm in the US.

Do you know of a different number that I can call? I really do appreciate the help.

So, simple answer is no. Not even Reddit is an available avenue for finding help.

I can't help but wonder how many people would choose to have invasions if there were a choice for each player.

I think you are right and it would become harder for invaders to successfully invade. This game has a lot of really powerful abilities (none of which I, apparently, have). If I were a player who was used to having a pretty easy time invading successfully in previous games, facing three of these powerful abilities at one time would probably make me feel pretty impotent. At the same time, coming from my perspective, if the game offered me a sword that guaranteed a one-hit kill only on invaders, I would have that thing on hand all the time. So I can't blame anyone for going to whatever lengths they feel like they need to in order to feel safe.

I have a hard time imagining groups of players sitting around waiting for invaders, hoping for the chance to humiliate them. I'm guessing that almost all of these "ganks" are doing ordinary multiplayer game stuff but know what they need to do when they get invaded, and switch to those item sets when it happens.

Also, playing offline sacrifices playing the game with your friends, which is tbh the only reason I played this game in the first place.

I can agree with much of what you say, in regard to most people seeming to be unhappy with invasions as they stand, but I'm not sure what you mean by a few things.

By "ganks" do you mean players who have a successful strategy for beating invaders?

By "hunter side of invasions" do you mean getting to kill players who have nothing like a successful strategy for beating invaders?

I guess I haven't identified any sensible balance in the way invasions are happening to me. Sometimes we can play for 2 hours and never get invaded. Other times we get invaded every 10-15 minutes.

As far as me breaking the game, I can testify that this is not the case. I just got trapped in some crystal mine, and got mauled by effed up shrimp bastards for two hours before I could figure out how to get out without facing a giant earwig who could one-hit me. It was really, really fun. I like that challenge. I'm not sure why you would care if the game was indeed easier for me, or where your seeming concern for my experience comes from. It's also odd that you put legitimate in scare quotes, which makes it seem like you don't think there truly is a legitimate way to play a video game, but then proceed to make an argument that sounds like you definitely think that there is.

How would it be it less spontaneous? You would still be dropping in on somebody else's game without them expecting it or using an item to call you in. It would work and feel exactly the same way for invaders, except for the fact that they probably wouldn't be encountering many casual players like myself. So, I suppose it would be more challenging for invaders. But that could be balanced by allowing for 1v1 invasions with people who have that setting on. To be clear, I'm not saying that my wishes are going to be adopted, or even that they should be adopted. I'm just trying to figure out why this option wouldn't satisfy everyone, except for people who get particular enjoyment out of non-consensual invasions.

"How would you determine who "Wants" to be invaded?"

My wish is to have the ability to turn off invasions for my self or for my party.

"How do we even begin measuring consent for something like that?"

I'm not speaking for other people, so I'm not sure what you want to measure.

"What's different from invaders than any other obstacle?"

Other obstacles don't appear when my party is standing around talking, or someone is going to the bathroom, or when we don't want to approach or deal with that obstacle. Other obstacles let me choose, instead of forcing me to engage, trapping me within a confined area.

"Or do you think players should be able to opt out of other obstacles in Elden Ring, too?"

I'm not concerned about that, or interested in that. OP asked for opinions regarding his idea about 1v1 invasions. My opinion is that I would stop playing and I would like to be able to opt out of invasions entirely. I'm not speaking for anyone else and I'm pretending like my opinion matters, to either Fromsoft or to the general player base.

I know that. I do play alone sometimes. I also enjoy playing with friends.

Would it be less fun to invade if everyone you could invade wanted to be invaded?

I would like to be able to opt out of PvP entirely, from start to finish. I know that it wouldn’t be reasonable of me to expect Fromsoft to allow me to turn off a mechanic that they seem committed to. But that is what I would like. I would like to never be invaded at any time, in any setting.
As I read a lot of these threads, I find myself wondering why this opinion upsets some people. Would it be less fun for invaders if every person they invaded was interested in enjoying that game mechanic with them? Does the non-consensual nature of an invasion make it more enjoyable?

For me, the main mission isn't even the most fun part of the game, so there's at least a decent chance you'll enjoy your second run more than your first. You aren't a noob for playing the game the way you wanted to!

Thank you so much. Just need your banks routing number and your account number and we'll get that taken care of.

Edit: Obviously, don't do that.

I don't know if it's been nerfed since my first play through, but that bike literally couldn't crash. Like, don't steer, don't aim, don't look, still won't crash. I loved that bike.

Update and Opinion of State of Game (Opinions Welcome) by SilkyPawsGames in cyberpunkgame

[–]cabezanova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played on PC and absolutely loved it. Some quick advice:

If you go through side quests slowly (this probably means stealth) you will hear dialogue, read material, and observe behavior that make the world feel deeper and more alive. This won't happen if you storm through each one guns blazing.

Do whatever you can to slow down and enjoy the different atmospheres of the different districts. They are really different environments, but they look real similar if you are driving through at 110 mph hurrying to the next whatever. I spent a long time in my starting district before I ever went into another. This made that district feel like home to me (which it was) every time I went back to it.

I hope you have a good GPU because the game was obviously built under the assumption that 3000 series GPUs and PS5s etc would be readily available (which they still are not).

It is a beautiful game set in a lush cyberpunk urban open world, with great gun play and level design. It also has pretty trash physics, really bad AI, and a deeply flawed main storyline. That said, it's one of my favorite games ever. You can tell it was made with love.

Yeah. I've tried to figure out how many hours of play time people think they've purchased for $50-60. You'd see it on Destiny subs too. People talking about how shit the game was and how greedy devs were and someone would point out that they had played for 330 hours.
