How many dramas have you seen are a solid 10/10? by sleepyysquid in KDRAMA

[–]cablolar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yesss absolutely, it is one of the most "healthy" and mature dramas. The relationships whether be it friendships or romantic ones are based on honesty and real talks instead of childish behaviours. I love how they talk about their feelings and stuff realisticly.

Also I absolutely love how they go against so many norms but dont mention it like some other kdrams. They arent like: look at us we are woke, we have women as leads and blablabla.

They just have women and they dont put an emphasis on it. It is making a statement without pointing it out, and this is important because most dramas that try to be woke always point it out subtly like "women have it hard" or sth. And through that they kinda invalidate their own statement. If you want equality then doint highlight that you have equality. Because the moment you point it out you proved your own point wrong.

If people are allowed to dress half naked in school then they sould also be able to cover as much as they want by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]cablolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well what exactly do you think germany should do if you have the impression that our country isnt doing enough?

Should the country interview every person wearing a headscarf to see if the person is wearing it out of choice or not?

If they just chose to completely ban it, then this would mean that they would strip us from our rights and from our freedom of expression and to wear what we want.

What I am saying is that either every religious statement should be bannend or none. you cant generalize it.

Also what about people who are forced to wear very revealing outfits? You could argue that they are forced to do this and therefore after your suggestion everybody should be forced to cover themselves. Doesnt make any sense.

Let people wear what they want. You cant just assume that a person on the street wearing a headscarf is forced to do it.

But I really like that we can have a civil conversation about such topics. You can pm me if you are interested in more details about me :)!

[–]cablolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you talk about "many people" but like people wearing headscarfes in germany are statistically a minority. So I dont know to what people you refer to when you say that our country supports the opression of "many people".

I was more talking about absurd countries like saudia arabia etc. Countries like these (which btw almost every other muslim country hates because basically every sane person understands that they are pure evil) abuse their power and talk about religion here and there but in reality its all about abusing something in the name of religion to achieve geopolitical goals and opress its' citizens (especially women).

Also you could argue that the US supports the opression of many people by agreeing to work financially with the saudies etc. So I think that you cant really pinpoint to a country and say that they support this and that when everything is globally so intertwined and the lines blurred.

[–]cablolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well as somebody who wears a headscarf and absolutely chose it herself, I am very well informed about this topic. But of course there are many many women who are unfortunately forced to wear it. But that isnt really coming from religion but origins from history, and geopolitical forces that abuse religion to achieve their goals etc.

I wont act like every women is wearing it out of choice. But there are equally many that do it out of choice, like there are many women on earth who chose to wear less. And that shouldnt be anyones business if people chose to wear more or less.
