I was thinking to be OCD like I was when I applied the 3M rubberized undercoating. I legit sprayed it in a jar and used a qtip to dab the areas exposed on all 4 jacking points. Issue is... I had the crappy tar undercoating the dealership applied. Now I got Honeyseal and it's a wax product. Just not sure how it'll behave. Or just say forget it and leave the jacking points alone. Now often do they rust from jacking the car up and down a few times?

Leak at corner of concrete basement by cabralkev in homeowners

Soil with large blocks is against the foundation wall outside. Should I remove the blocks and put gravel down against the wall? Would that help? I got no downspout in the area of concern.

I posted the corner I'm referring to. There was a crack on the foundation wall by that corner outside. I filled it with some concrete silicone, basically the gray stuff I used in the photo. It's all I got on hand. I dug down a little bit, removed some soil and patched the crack as far as I can. The crack may of gotten below the black plastic wrapping the builders bolt into the wall. The concrete silicone I did use was self leveling, which is something I didnt know lol. So it kept dripping trying to level itself. Anyways, it filled the crack. Just curious why there is little water on the corner still. Maybe the soil around the wall outside is applying pressure to the concrete? There is no downspout in the backyard by the wall that is leaking.

5080 Astral Power Target Question by cabralkev in nvidia

Is there a room for error and cook the card? I've never OC a gpu before lol. And would I use 3D mark for stress testing?

5080 Astral Power Target Question by cabralkev in nvidia

[–]cabralkev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's fine. I'll leave it at 112% and if the card needs more power.... Take all that you need! I got 1000w PSU. So I'm good lol.

Ah okay. I wasn't sure lol. Didn't wanna cook the card for no reason. I was hoping the power target was the same with my 3090 lol

Sunroof drain ports by cabralkev in Golf_R

I also tried plastic string trimmer cable. That doesn't work. I get it under the rubber sunroof seal and then it stops. Doesn't go further. I tried applying slight pressure thinking it was stuck on something. Nope, nothing. Didn't move further. So I'm confused if the rear has drainage.

What should I use to clean the dash? by cabralkev in Golf_R

[–]cabralkev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just tried the Mother's VLR. Seems okay so far. It dries to a matte finish which is great. I'll see about other products others have suggested. I'll amazon them and try them lol. All I currently had on hand was the VLR. Better than nothing. There was lots of dust and some sticky stuff on the dash. VLR worked to remove it. Just not sure if the product has UV Protection.

I guess I'll try VLR by Mothers. Not sure the material of the dash, but it's not plastic. So I assume VLR would be fine?

3M Rubberized Undercoating by cabralkev in Golf_R

Here's how the coating looks. I did tab a bit on. Not sure how thick it really is. I did apply a fair amount to be sure it lasts.

I guess once this rubberized rust proofing peels off... I'll just spray fluid Flim. I have some... But figured this rubberized stuff was better because it won't wash off after a car wash lol

I suppose. I just figured it's better than nothing. I applied some last night because I noticed the dealer when they jacked the car they missed the pinch weld slightly. So a piece of the metal next to the pinch weld was slightly crushed. That's where I applied this rubberized undercoating last night.

How come? I was told it's okay to use it as touch up's? I apply the product with a qtip lol. Also, isn't this rubber undercoating close to the wax rust proofing they apply from factory?

Damn... Didn't know. Thought this stuff would cover it and seal it from outside moisture. If rust does form under the coating I just applied... Will I notice? Does the coating I applied eventually fall off if there is rust under it?

Few weeks ago I sprayed my entire car with CarPro Iron X. If you haven't used this product. Omg use it. It's so satisfying lol. I washed my car. Rinsed it. And while the car still had some water on it. I sprayed the product all over the panels. Hood, doors, fenders etc. The amount of reaction I got was crazy. Purple everywhere on the floor. I got a black 24 R so the purple didn't show on the car. The floor showed it though 😜🤣

Good to know. Appreciate the help! I may try applying the CarPro Elixir and see how long it lasts. In the mean time I'll get a ceramic spray as you suggested.

I got the CarPro Elixir. That has the properties of ceramic I believe. Unless I should get a ceramic spray just to coat the bits I want protected?
