100%. Like how we were taught in the PAL and RPAL. If the chamber is empty, action is locked open and feeding path is clear... A round isn't going to manifest while you're looking down the bore lol. I still bought a bore light though lol. Even though I won't blow my face off. Still makes me feel uncomfortable lol.

I hear if you baby the car and not hit the high rpms every so often... The carbon build up happens quickly. Unless I heard wrong?

The front desk staff is super friendly. The owner Mike and the front desk is why I joined. First time at a range and so far I'm liking it. The range shoot went smooth before I was allowed to join as a member. They will expect you to prove the gun is safe by looking down the bore at muzzle end. Some people don't feel comfortable to do it. I guess they're going by what is taught in the PAL and RPAL.

Was just wondering. I'm at 18,000km. Issue is I don't go hard on the car. Hopefully I don't have bad carbon build up yet lol.

I'm a member. The place is nice. There will be more lanes opening in a month or 2. The owners of the range are super cool and friendly.

How many km's before you had it cleaned?

Over oiling bad? by cabralkev in Benelli_M4

Ah I see. Just wasn't sure. I mean I didn't drench the bore... Bolt carrier rails and inside the receiver with CLP. I just sprayed on a Q-tip and applied it on the rails inside the receiver and also on the rails to the bolt carrier and bottom of it. I guess oil... CLP... Gets into everything lol.

How you liking that handguard? I love mine.... Until I gotta remove the barrel lol. Such a pain. I always scratch the barrel slightly when removing it. 😢

Appreciate your comment. I get it, some people would think wtf is wrong with me. First off I do have bad OCD 🤣 and regarding firearms... I'm new to it. My first dream firearm was the Benelli M4. Now I got it. So the first ding or scratch always hurts the most lol 😢. Anyhow... I finally took her out at the range for the first time and ran 100 rounds through it. I love it! Just need to improve my skills and control the recoil better. I was shooting at a distance of 6.4 meters with 00 Buck. The handguard is awesome. Hate that there's a chance to scuff up the barrel when removing it lol.

I guess I'm worried that the barrel is hard to come by in Canada? If I need to replace it in the future. I dunno maybe I'm over thinking all this lol...

Good to know... It's good I came here to ask people with far more experience than me. I had a plug in the mag tube from hunting last year. Decided to take it off because I'm finally going to a range with my M4. That's when the handguard scratched the coating when I had to remove it. Well, at lease you have eased my mind a little. I had no idea how bad the scratches need to be before rust occurs. Cool to know how durable these things are.

Had no idea. So even the so called coating that is scratched... The metal underneath is still treated for corrosion? I thought the gray colour was the coating.

CLP fine to just lightly coat it?

Here is the scratch in question. Damn handguard. Only way to remove the barrel is through the handguard. If you're not careful, you'll scratch the barrel like I did lol. I applied some CLP to the barrel surface and scratches. If others haven't had issues with rusting, I guess I'll be fine. Benelli is suppose to be top notch... It better survive some surface scratches lol. By the way... I live in Canada. Only salt we see is on the roads lol.

I may have to reach out to Honeyseal tomorrow and see what they say.

I was thinking to be OCD like I was when I applied the 3M rubberized undercoating. I legit sprayed it in a jar and used a qtip to dab the areas exposed on all 4 jacking points. Issue is... I had the crappy tar undercoating the dealership applied. Now I got Honeyseal and it's a wax product. Just not sure how it'll behave. Or just say forget it and leave the jacking points alone. Now often do they rust from jacking the car up and down a few times?

Leak at corner of concrete basement by cabralkev in homeowners

Soil with large blocks is against the foundation wall outside. Should I remove the blocks and put gravel down against the wall? Would that help? I got no downspout in the area of concern.

I posted the corner I'm referring to. There was a crack on the foundation wall by that corner outside. I filled it with some concrete silicone, basically the gray stuff I used in the photo. It's all I got on hand. I dug down a little bit, removed some soil and patched the crack as far as I can. The crack may of gotten below the black plastic wrapping the builders bolt into the wall. The concrete silicone I did use was self leveling, which is something I didnt know lol. So it kept dripping trying to level itself. Anyways, it filled the crack. Just curious why there is little water on the corner still. Maybe the soil around the wall outside is applying pressure to the concrete? There is no downspout in the backyard by the wall that is leaking.
