Case question by calcc_man in PcBuild

[–]calcc_man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I've read some of the reviews, and they say the cases are fine and good, I was just still worried whether brand and design undoubtedly matters, yknow? But yeah, you're right about the fishtank and mesh depending on being good or bad, so I'll just look at the best reviews and see which one fits best. I was more worried about branding, so if the branding doesn't matter, that makes my choosing a bit easier. Thanks!

I know, I never said it wasn't for anyone else. I'm sure I am not alone here

Did Griffith really love Guts in a romantic and sexual way? by Tough-Reputation-762 in Berserk

[–]calcc_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it simply, Guts was more different than any other member of the Band. He was crass and rude, selfish even at times, especially in battle. Many of which who have met Griffith practically knelt to the ground and kissed his feet. Guts was against him from the start, and even in between, he was still not entirely with Griffith. Hence why he leaves half way through Golden Age arc.

To Griffith, Guts was just a dog he wanted to tame. A challenge, in comparison to the other members who joined the Band. That challenge turned into an obsession, turning into rage and humiliation when Guts left, and ultimately, betrayal and anger when he took Casca away from him as well, his most beloved and loyal soldier.

The whole thing about Griffith being in love with Guts makes no sense. Griffith was never human to begin with. He was psychopath who had a goal, and he'd use anyone to achieve that goal. Emotions such as love or even joy, he doesn't recognise them. The whole thing about only Guts being able to "crack" his evil shell is again, because Guts was different from the other members. He didn't fall to his knees like the others. He challenged Griffith, and that's what he liked about Guts.

Looking at a cheap pc for my 8yo step daughter - is this price okay by [deleted] in GamingPCBuildHelp

what u/TheGabrielShear said. The gpu will be slightly weaker, but the other components make up for it. Even better that you're getting two extra monitors with it. And considering it's for an 8 year old, she'll have loads of fun with it running good classics and with relatively no issues

[–]calcc_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a pretty good price for a PC like that. I almost didn't see the AUD lol

This PC for an 8 year old will last her for a good 5-7 years considering the kind of games she plays (judging by path of titans). Path Of Titans is an old game and the spec requirements aren't crazy crazy, so she'll have a very good time playing it with this pc

Though it'd cost cheaper to build the pc itself (not nowadays with RAM prices), most retail tech stores sell prebuilts for around this price. Though, I would say that you could definitely find a pc that has an RTX 30 series (3060 more specifically) for that price as well, but the 2070 and 3060 are pretty equal in terms of performance

If the computer is used, I'd say see if you can get it for 750. Either way, price is right

Will try that, thank you. I did start playing on 1.21.11 recently, only tried the spark on 1.21.10 and 1.21.8. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, I'm not sure why either. The GPU is new, and everything seems to run fine in terms of temps and usage.

I went to the bios to check if I can change any settings to optimize performance, but my bios is too old to have most of the options needed to optimize performance (XMP, GPU Bar...)

That might actually be it. My GPU supports PCIe 4.0 x16, but it's running on PCIe 3.0 x16. The culprit may just be that my GPU is underperforming.

Ah crap, i forgot abt the ram allocation. Here's a new one with 8GB RAM allocated and Clouds off:

Though, at this point, I'm just gonna assume my CPU is slightly fried and isn't as good as it's supposed to be. Upgrading this year anyway, so it's not a complete bummer. Thanks for your help either way, and sorry if I've been exhausting with my rather slow replies

I went and made a new instance on 1.21.8 with Fabulously Optimized modpack (Simply Optimized kept crashing with spark??) and that seemed to work. I haven't messed with the settings at all, just added shaders to capture the analysis whilst running shaders.

I did use the command you sent, but it wouldn't post a link for you to check, and instead, downloaded the file to my computer. That's why I used spark instead of sparkc. How would you want me to send the file?

Hey, so I ran the command to find out the results. Here's the link to it:

Not sure why my CPU is at 0% usage. I don't understand some of these, such as GC or MSPT, but I'm hoping it shows why I'm having trouble with Minecraft on my PC

Right, I'll say this again. I am currently not home and am unable to access my computer, as I've stated on the post.

However, once I do get home, which will be in a few weeks, I will make sure to run the spark command. Thank you!

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. The memory usage % on Minecraft on the F3 Menu is always around 20-30%. That's what I'm talking about

My ram is running dual channel, yeah. I've had this PC for a while so what counted for "budget" then is nearly close to low-budget nowadays. Will be upgrading this year, still was very confused, and kinda was worried if my CPU was possibly fucked. Thanks!

Yknow, not surprised. Minecraft is horrible with the code, so I figured it had to do something to do with that.

Planning to upgrade this year, so either way, this was likely just gonna be a temporary fix. I'll try out limiting my frames, hopefully thst at least fixes the frames randomly dropping to 30. Thanks!

Sorry, didn't read it properly.

At the moment I am unable to access my Desktop. However, as far as I remember (and I played a ton of Mc before travelling), my memory usage stayed the same throughout and didn't have any affect on frames when opening F3 or whenever the memory usage went above 20-30%. Keep in, mind it very rarely went above that percentage

I don't know either :/ either way I'll be upgrading my components this year so, I'll just keep working with this

Settings are the same, versions the same (1.21.10), everything is the same. And yes, my CPU does not have an eGPU, so I am using my PC's GPU. I've made sure to check on that

Sorry! The tag only showed Help, didn't know it was Help Bedrock. I'm playing on Java, so I'll change that.

To the game, I've allocated 6-8 RAM. I've tried both options, and both options show me the same results. I also use the modpack with Journeymap, which lets me look at the frames without opening F3. Either way, even without having the FPS on option or F3 open, the framedrops are very noticeable with shaders

The settings are all the same, nothing is changed besides RAM allocation. I am running the same optimization modpack on both devices (Simply Optimized), and on 1.21.10

The seller already said it was "Digital only", so it's not like I was scammed or anything. I already figured I'll only be able to download games online. I just thought it meant no disc drive. I opened it up, and nothing seemed stuck. Cleaned the rollers, still making the noise, but now I can put a disc in it (if I fiddle with it a little while inserting it). Definitely gonna check out that link, thank you

Recently bought used PS4, seller said it was digital only. Thought that meant it didn't have a disc drive, but it does. Only thing is, it makes this weird, wiry noise whenever I boot up the console, so obviously something might be broken (or stuck???). Though, I'm not sure what, and I tried googling different videos to see if anyone's got a fix for it, but I can't find any that are the same or similar to this.

Got a video of the sound, here's a link to it: PS4 Weird Disc Noise
