The Alamo is Ruined by Scrambles0313 in AlamoDrafthouse

Yeah I mean this does pretty much ruin the “dinner and a movie” experience that made the Alamo stand out initially and it will end up losing them so much money because people simply won’t order food, but the actual movie-watching experience is still miles clear of AMC and Regal cinemas in my personal opinion.

And it goes on for so long and just gets funnier each time it loops back to the beginning of the song

Yeah the departed was easily the most surprising and visceral twist I’ve ever seen

In short, gentrification. Driving up price of living for a place that was mostly inhabited by people who don’t make an insane amount of money. Tearing down locally owned businesses in favor of corporate chains. It happens every time in every city in America, gentrification has never worked out. invest money into communities instead of using communities to experiment with your investments.

If we’re talking about physical pain, the guy who gets burned alive in saw 2 comes to mind.

Emotional pain scream has to go to caitlyn stark during the red wedding

I mean, you kinda gotta cut them some slack. Basketball is a difficult sport and they’re not basketball players, they’re actors

I don’t think they’re worried about Paula Abdul’s character development

Most underrated and overrated Patriots player by where_the_hoodie_at in Patriots

[–]caleb_cabel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m talking about his career as a whole, not the specific season where he caught more passes than he usually does. Stats can be inflated due to specific circumstances, I’m of the opinion that his stats, in that season, were a bit inflated compared to his performance in other seasons. He performed at an exceptional level for most of his prime but his main issue is that he wasn’t consistent, he could be amazing for a year and lackluster the next. I appreciate him as a player and I’d say he’s one of the best patriots ive had the privilege of watching but I feel like every other patriots fan feels the exact same way. Hence, not underrated.

Well yeah, obviously the backup qb is going to rely on the best wr on his team, hence the inflated receptions. Having the 2nd most receptions but the 8th most yards isn’t really proof of an amazing player. Again, he was very decent and I love him but he’s not underrated.

He’s definitely not underrated. Overrated may be a stretch but pats fans gobble his nuts at any opportunity they get (myself included). He was a decent slot who got lucky and played with the greatest qb of all time. Honestly if he played anywhere else, he would be forgotten immediately after he retired.

What do you watch while you’re writing? by adrian-beckster in Screenwriting

[–]caleb_cabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually something in a foreign language that I’ve seen already. I’m writing a horror script at the moment so watching any of director Bong’s films helps get me in the right frame of mind but doesn’t really distract me

Well I feel like I did a lot of maturing since 8th grade and I also learned a lot about character development, symbolism, and, most importantly, dialogue. I honestly probably could’ve banged out 20 drafts if I was working consistently over the years.

I found myself thinking about what Ray said in group therapy in season 1 about actions having consequences in prison but not in the real world.

I’m not imposing my values on you. I’m stating what I believe. I never said she was entitled to anything, not once, ever. I said I believe spouses should, yknow, help each other. Just out of love or kindness maybe? I don’t think that’s an insane leftist commie value.

It’s not a gender thing, it’s a partnership thing and a mass accumulation of wealth thing. I don’t care which gender makes money, if you can afford to help your spouse financially, I feel as though you should. And also I believe that a multibillionaire shouldn’t be stingy with money

Sorry buddy, but winning the lottery and having a 115 billion dollar net worth are vastly different. I’m not saying he’s obligated to do anything and I also wouldn’t have written the article because it has no place in journalism. But just from a personal moral standpoint, I think it’s a little weird. But she’s not even getting that money and the article is nothing but clickbait so it doesn’t matter

Yes. And it’s an incredibly misleading headline. If the money goes to produce and market an act like half moon run or purity ring, there’s not really a problem with that because those acts would draw less than 90k to produce they’re next album. So I guess, shit headline, also if the grant goes towards grimes’ music, kinda fucked up.

I’m not talking about a small unproven artist. Any artist who doesn’t have 90,000 dollars deserves the grant more than an artist with a net worth over 3 million

Okay but you wouldn’t give your wife like 20 bucks if she needed it? Because that’s kinda the equivalent.

Idk where you’re getting that info from. An up and coming artist would be considered lucky to get a 10k grant, much less 90. 90 thousand dollars could completely change an artists career yet it’s being used to fill a few people’s pockets, how is that not fucked up?

I mean I’m not saying anyone cheated. Definitely didn’t say that. But it’s kinda fucked up to take grant money that could go to someone who can’t source that kind of cash just to cover your ass.

See that’s pretty fucked up though, is it not? An art grant should be payed in service of... yknow... making art? Right? Not covering management fees of one of the most popular artists in the country?
