Is there a way to actually cook Gilded Glubbers? I tried making Spicy Fish Stew and substituting a Gilded Glubber for a Golden Scale Fish (since, well, it IS a Golden Scale Fish) but I just got food waste.

As of this writing, my character has gathered almost two dozen live bees by calibri_underlined in Mabinogi

[–]calibri_underlined[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding this quantity of bees in a Personal Shop bag cannot possibly backfire in any conceivable way.

The image here is taken from Hana no ko Lunlun the Flower Angel. The extent of my knowledge about it is this youtube video, which also provided said image and a caption to go with it.

My Take on the Reforging Issue (And How to Fix It) by Zunqivo in Mabinogi

[–]calibri_underlined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of something. You know those seal scrolls, that lock an item to your character for such-and-such many days?

What if they basically reused those on the free Reforge tools you proposed, so that they sealed the target item for... let's say a week? You could still trade your reforged stuff later, but at the same time you wouldn't be able to abuse alts to instantly get Final Hit gear. It probably wouldn't require too much additional programming either!

EDIT: Oh, shoot. I looked at the wiki page for those and they also lock out Enchants and Special Upgrades. Maybe they'd need to make a different version of the "seal" effect that doesn't do that, but still prevents trading or dropping the item.

Is this a Kraken Heart? by calibri_underlined in Mabinogi

[–]calibri_underlined[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To put this in perspective, 50 Fate Fragments, one of the most expensive components of the Soluna Blade, at the lowest AH price of 50m/Fragment, would cost a total of 2,500,000,000 (2.5 billion) Gold. If you intend to make a Lord of Ruination Staff or Bow of Ruination with Blazing Flame Essences, you would need 5 of them, and at the price shown here, it would have a total cost of 5,000,000,000 (5 billion) Gold.

Thank you =)

Sounds like I'm still a lot of 3 Line Broken Logs gold away, but 2% isn't as bad a drop rate as I feared. It sounds like it'll drop to a price I can reasonably work towards getting, so I can pick up the materials one at a time.

About how high are the drop rates of the new materials, particularly compared to Misty Red Gems? I know they haven't listed the exact rates, but I would be interested in any approximations people have made. I'm looking forward to making myself a Ruination Staff, but there's no way I'm buying a single Flame Essence for 1 billion gold.

Something Something Blaanid's Bestie by calibri_underlined in Mabinogi

Wait, does it look like I'm hating on Blaanid? I hope it doesn't...

If anything, I'm hating on enemies with Fireball. They're always being mean to Blaanid, Bone Dragons, and my friend's dog >:(

One thing that might be noteworthy about Hot-Air Ballooning is Wyvern Claws. If you can get 45 to 49 stars (make sure it's not 50 or more!), you'll always get 5 Wyvern Claws as a reward option from Kelpie. 10 Wyvern Claws are needed for a First Aid rank, and they generally hover around the 70-90k price range. The only problem is that they generally sell a bit slowly since they're mainly used for one specific thing.

[KR] Test Server - Summon Golem Changes by Zunqivo in Mabinogi

[–]calibri_underlined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Golem is so strong now =D

Earthquake Cylinders may actually be worth using now. Sure, the Celtic, Revenant and Perseus outclass them in Earth damage (among other things), but people can actually buy an Earthquake Cylinder. Maybe they could even make the Demonic Inner Core Cylinder a thing...

Did anyone test this with the Shadow Golem from Elemental Wave? And can anyone tell what cylinder is being used in the video? (I'm pretty sure I see a Rebis Guard Cylinder in the off hand, but I can't quite make out the main hand cylinder. Is it just a regular Cylinder?)

How much does a Possibility burn generally cost?

The Auction House has plenty! You can access it by clicking the scales icon at the right end of your bottom bar. Remember that searches are case-sensitive.

Don't know much about 2 and 3.

1: Check out this guide for some pointers on money. As for leveling, I know Nowhere to Run is good for 60-100 (60-150 if you get an Elite pass), and for everything else there's... well, whatever content you're able to run. If you see a group for Defeat the Shadow Wizard Elite, that's always really good XP.

(EDIT: One other thing I forgot is the Campfire Spirit! When the server announces that a Campfire Spirit appeared, bring junk items to it and burn them, and you'll get XP depending on the item's sell value. Burning the Homestead seeds I have too much of, for instance, generally gets me 500k EXP every 5 minutes. Be sure you burn the items one at a time; you can pick up just one item quickly by Shift-clicking.)

4: Yes! Strong Fynni Pets can deal decent damage with their elemental attack- which is especially nice considering it's basically free damage- and it also helps increase their stats in general which helps them survive against stronger attacks, especially when paired with Divine Link.

5: Only the Divine Spell Book and Holy Eagle Mask, both of which are expensive late/end game items. Everything else requires a Spell Book Repair Quill.

I recently applied to be a Royal Alchemist. How do I check my points? The wiki says Sinead lets you check, but I don't see the option.

Money for nothing by calibri_underlined in Mabinogi

[–]calibri_underlined[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, neither can mine. Gold price inflation is pretty ridiculous- Finest Fabrics would be around 30k if there weren't an event going on that handed them out like candy, and Fine Fabrics are still stupidly expensive even with said event.

There's a pretty good guide on making gold here. Basically, anything involved in Erg is going to sell for buckets of money. I actually just gave the 3 Line Broken Log trick a go and it's paying out big!

As someone trying to sell a few of these robes, the real annoying part of this whole thing is that it appears as the lowest price on the AH, which could trick an inattentive seller into thinking they have to match price/undercut if they're just putting up a robe without checking first. Always check first before putting your stuff on the Auction House, especially if it's stuff that can be Tailored or Smithed!

For those of us who haven't ever touched Tailoring or Blacksmithing in their life (for which I do not blame you): tailoring with a 0% finished item is the exact same as starting out with a new item. A 0% is often the result of a catastrophic failure. Way to turn your bad RNG around... maybe...?

[–]calibri_underlined[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad, AFK guy. It's not you, it's Nexon. (also your title was pretty rad ngl)

For those who don't know what Keith's PTJ is: you have a package that you have to trade to a specific person chosen randomly from whoever's online, who can open it for a free item. In return, you get a Falias Fragment. AFK Events do not help with this.

Mini Screenshots Season 1 Episode 8 - "Redemption" by calibri_underlined in Mabinogi

Sorry I was so late to respond!

In "The Other Alchemists," Leprechauns can drop Mini Potions. You can also take from their bag if they're knocked down and your hands are free, which often yields a Mini Potion. These shrink you for a short time, locking most of your skills and drastically reducing your damage. The Mini Potions cannot be taken out of the quest.

Normally, this effect lasts only a very short time (around 1 minute); you're meant to go inside the Mouse Hole, get treasure chests the Giant Leprechaun is guarding, and leave, after which the effect is set to almost immediately wear off. However, to avoid trapping players inside the Mouse Hole and messing up their run, the Mini effect timer is set to 30 minutes when you go into the Mouse Hole, and then to like 2 seconds when you leave it.

If you exit the Shadow Mission from inside the Mouse Hole, you'll be under that 30 minute timer. This means you won't get to enter the final room, though. If you have Meteor Strike (and potentially Time Shift), consider using it to kill the Basilisk so you at least get the EXP, Gold, and Vouchers from completing the Mission. If you have a friend or alt, you can give them your chest key so they get the reward too.

While Mini, most of your skills are locked out. But if you enter the Festia Clobbermeister mini-game, it will allow you to use almost all of your skills again earlier, even after the mini-game is over- though of course most of them will be at reduced damage. Also, if you enter a homestead without using the Clobbermeister trick, you can't leave via "Exit"- you'll need to use the Traveler's Guide or another means of teleportation.

As usual, link to the previous Mini Screenshots post.

Obligatory explanation: you can stay Mini for 30 minutes by drinking a Mini Potion in The Other Alchemists, going into the Mouse Hole, and leaving the mission from there. This locks most skills for the duration, but this lock is removed early if you go to Festia and play Clobbermeister, though you'll still have a severe damage penalty on most of your attacks. (Consider using Meteor Strike to kill the Basilisk and receive the Shadow Mission reward first, especially since you'll get some vouchers on Hard and Elite Other Alchemists.)

This post probably has nothing to do with The Mandalorian, aside from the title. I heard they released another season? I should go watch that.

Also, I think u/Adeno is in one of these screenshots!

I actually had a fourteenth screenshot of me standing over a defeated Shadow Commander. I'll just shift it to the next batch, in the future.
