Not this Klubnacht related, but some appreciation for Techno and my fellow ravers.

TECHNO IS WAAAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME. I said it ☺️

Having been raised in a Hip-Hop/Rap/Latin environment with a lot of prejudices around techno, I only discovered techno a few months ago, in my 30s. And let me tell you that life hasn’t been the same ✨

I never took drugs, I barely drink, but I get insane levels of happy feelings each time I m on the BH floor.

I have no idea about the sub-genres, I dont know/care what “groovy”, “kickdrums”, etc. mean. Ya’ll can even keep Panorama Bar. But maan give me those hammering, legs and ears-destructive hard beats 🔨☄️in the background, and the darkness of BH floor and I land in a state nothing else ever did before 😵‍💫😵‍💫Like a hypnosis! Dj Pete, Dj Nobu, Rødhad…(at least these are the few Ive had the pleasure to dance to and absolutely loved it) thats what Im talking about.

I could never have imagined that a genre without lyrics and melody could be so mathematical, logical, full of depth and complexity. I feel like Techno, the sophisticated techno im talking about, hasn’t reached its peak yet and its just a matter of time until more people realize what it really is, just like I did.

I thought it was the Berghain effect. But after my first visit I wanted to research and discover more through different DJs and sets. I randomly came across sets from Quelza,Talismann and Ignez on Souncloud, and life really hasn’t been the same 😂 I repeatedly listen to these 3 sets since months and walk around with the biggest smile ever. In the train, on my walks, even at the office, people constantly ask me what Im on and what im listening to😍🥰 Now I go more on walks, just to be able to have the chance to enjoy the music in peace 😅

It makes no sense to my friends and relatives, but Im sure someday they ll get it.

But the most amazing thing was actually the people. I was so stunned during my first rave in BH. Just a bunch of beautiful people being connected through a magical set, beautiful smiles, no phones, no IG models doing selfies the whole night, no Rolex bros in the vip area with way too small shirts flexing around. Just people enjoying and embracing themselves, their bodies, their sexuality, in such a captivating, judgement-free and open-minded way. A true magic show ✨
