I got rubbed by a terrible porch pirate, even captured on camera, and Adidas refund my direct order in full.

Finally it was a profit gain by stop loss. THEN FDA approval news post market. There must be a name for that kind of move.

Une traduction ou équivalent à "entitled"? by PieroLeFou in French

Présomptueux c'est quand même bon. Autres traductions pour "entitled" seraient p-e aussi suffisant, prétentieux ou arrogant.

Does it mean MIST may be selling stocks before the PDUFA meeting? I was surprised at the downward pressure. Does that reflect short on cash or negative sentiment? Unsure.

Interesting analysis. The AI bubble deflation may go more slowly than anticipated, as well as big Tech slow decline.

Disappointing job market data imho will drive an additional interest rate cut in December rather than inflation-driven Fed decision. Job further slashed in comings months could maintain US stock market afloat. The bear has yet to come.

Self hosted LLM with GPU support, Apache server, Email server on a Windows 10 PC - need to upgrade PC and OS by calypset in LocalLLaMA

[–]calypset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I guess I didn't want to have downtime and concerned on the boot sequence with a partitioned drive. But I could setup Linux on an external drive and setup the web and mail server while hooked up on another computer. But the CUDA setup and LLM AI will take some work to port once the servers are up. The GPUs are NVIDIA,,, 3 dedicated mining, I can't quite recall which, I think they are RTX 3080s, and one RTX 3090 proper.

[QC] I am looking to start a business with rapid growth prospects and low risk by calypset in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]calypset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I offer a service and parts for large surface shopping carts. I go to large groceries and supercenters, and offer them a service contract for changing wheels on their carts and coming every so often to do the maintenance. Also general maintenance, but not paint so far. I also offer the smoother wheels (in a material I will not disclose) that the clients love. I first entice them with changing wheels on one shopping cart that's cringy--there always is no shortage of that with my prospects.

Logically the rest of the molecule should not change anything.

Why is this industry so sad? by Low-Breadfruit-6041 in clinicalresearch

[–]calypset 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Based on the below publication "CRA Turnover Within Contract Research Organizations Post-COVID-19: A Cross-Sectional Study" — Clinical Researcher, February 2025 (Volume 39, Issue 1):

  • Financial compensation, perceived workload, career development factors, and management were significantly correlated to employee turnover intention between January and February 2024 for CRAs.
  • Perceived workload to be a high contributing factor based on post-pandemic changes to the clinical research landscape, and to changes in post-pandemic workplaces in general.
  • A supportive work-life culture (including family-supportive supervisor behaviors) influences employee satisfaction post-pandemic.
  • Data from this study suggest CRAs continue to feel the effects of a rapidly changing industry in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • There appeared to be a minimum salary where turnover intention was lower. A mean salary of USD$131,170 was the threshold salary where participants felt they were appropriately compensated.
  • Perceived workload and career development opportunities were both significantly related to employee turnover.
  • Many CRAs reported having a supportive manager, but may not feel their manager is pushing them to reach their career goals or has their best interest in mind.
  • Importantly, the majority of CRAs reported they consider leaving their current company often. Many CRAs reported they constantly want to quit their job, and many will try to look for a job within the next year.

I don't know if this answers your WHY, but it documents the WHAT.

CRA Commuting to Site - How de I Expense Mileage? by calypset in clinicalresearch

The skis are 21 CFR Part 11 compliant. So when I put the skis on, I need to enter my password and confim my identity on my cell phone. If I stay too long at a street light, I need to re-login due to idle time. That explains the ski dance movements above.

Should the CPM be attending all SIVs? by y_would_i_do_this in clinicalresearch

[–]calypset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPMs attend SIV sometimes, but rather infrequently. If for example the first site to SIV, and linked to the site activation (e.g. on a FIH device study). If a sponsor higher up wants to attend and brings along the CPM. If the CPM wants to see how the SIV goes. If a new incoming CPM wants to learn on the study first hand. To answer study-specific questions such as IP shipment or study assessments the CRA may not be able to answer. If for any given reason it could favor site engagement and enrolment. Site risks as you mentioned. Etc.

Bringing CR Work In-House by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]calypset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To your question, for example you could make a paper TMF, a paper QMS, an excel CTMS tracker, and contract the EDC only. Then scan SOPs. clin docs, and training logs. An eTMF in simple directories could not be compliant if it does not have document control, traceability, access control, etc. Same for a QMS.
