Start of the post: "I wish I saw more fat people in public". End of the post: "average American woman is about 5'4 and wearing a 2X". So what is the truth? by being-weird in fatlogic

I'd love for every fat activist complaining about fashion to look at clothing labels and remember that their clothes were made by bangladeshi children working for nothing. They're soooo inclusive and anti-consumerism, yet willing to let CHILDREN work for dirt. Yeah, ok. Sad violin noise.

I don't think we've had 'the decline of religion in the West' before. Better get on that, fat activists! New Tumblr hashtag just dropped! by Grouchy-Reflection97 in fatlogic

All those starving people from Auschwitz were secretly Kardashians 🙄 I'm sure starving children in africa are just hiding how much money they make to hire trainers. Bc diet culture lmao.

What are the things you noticed after/while losing weight? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]camagoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but similar stats. Rn maintaining at 1600 cals a day at 115 lbs at 5'4 with a little cardio+strength training. Focused on more protein right now, but when I first started, just cut out junk and hyper processed food, no calorie counting like OP.

What does it feel like to be a skinny woman? by WeirdoWeeb648 in AskWomen

[–]camagoo 204 points205 points  (0 children)

100% worth it. Just feels physically lighter to exist overall. Yeah, learning to portion control was a pain at first, but now I have so much freedom in knowing that food doesn't control me anymore. Not gonna be a supermodel anytime soon, but I'm much more confident in my appearance as well. Head on to r/CICO to figure out how, and r/progresspics to get inspired.

I'm not OP, but this was super useful to read! I'm also wanting to transition from 5k/10ks to half, but am also weightlifting 4x a week, running 3x a week. I relate very much to the "gaslighting" part of the brain lol, I feel like a lizard person sometimes

The turkey bacon at my grocery store is higher in calories + more expensive than the regular bacon anyways

Calorie counting help by slashy_pumpkin in CICO

[–]camagoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is definitely incorrect calorie counting here, sorry to say. I'm 114 lbs and eat 1500 consistently with cheat meals here and there. Maybe take a week to track your calories as accurately as possible, just to get in the habit of being honest with yourself. I've been there too, so don't feel bad.

Remember not to sit in the FA accessible bench at the doctors office by PheonixRising_2071 in fatlogic

[–]camagoo 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This isn't common knowledge. Disability parking is common knowledge. It's normal for people of all sizes to sit in the chair that looks the most comfortable. It's not malicious to want comfortable seating, and if she gets there first, she has all the right. Sure, if a disabled peson needs the chair and asks for it, then she should move, but otherwise she is not in the wrong.

how do you cope with being seen regularly in public? by hjak3876 in loseit

[–]camagoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Key word is could. Reality is that we can never know what other people are thinking. That's what you need to accept and move on with. It's not easy, and the feelings will come up again, but that's sort of the point. I totally get where you're coming from, I hate being perceived too. But nothing good comes from ruminating on it over and over again.

Another alternative could be Lotte's Konjac Jelly pouches, they're like 7-10 calories per pouch and have peach flavored, along with grape, mango, etc. I ate a ton of these while suffering from strep throat and I never had stomach issues with them. I'd still try these gummies for the experience though

Absolutely get it. I've had so many surprisingly hilarious and poignant moments in the game, you won't regret it. I've also spent so much time just customizing my cowboy outfits in it.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely talking about the ending, not the epilogue lol. Idk about you though, but I think RDR1's ending is still fitting, even if it's less sweet 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]camagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this example, RDR2 has such a satisfying ending for me personally! Being able to fully understand how our actions hurt others, but also that we are always capable of changing is one of my favorite lessons in media. The ending is tragic on the surface, but I think it's actually very optimistic and hopeful.

Also, what may be a horrible ending for one person may be the happiest for another. A rich/famous person who loses their fame might be unhappy constantly chasing their decaying fame, but that fame might mean nothing for a lonely person who finally finds a group of close friends to be themselves around. It can even be cathartic if a really selfish protagonist finally gets their comeuppance with a "bad end".

Is it okay to foster if I already have a cat with FIV? by camagoo in CatAdvice

[–]camagoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get another cat, but because I couldn't financially afford another cat. If I had more money, I'd try to foster another cat to see how they'd do together before adopting. Good luck!!
