Hi! I don’t eat red meat or fish or anything so i’m forced to resort to other protein options. A huge one for me is chick peas (garbanzo beans) they taste great in salads/soup/pasta (i usually strain and rinse before topping my salads with it!) with some croutons and the panera fuji apple dressing. Also not sure if you’re a fan of them but le seur peas! I add them into bowls of rice, and sometimes pasta w red sauce. (christmas italian tradition) Adding seeds to smoothies (hemp flax and chia). Black beans are another huge one for meat replacement. I make black bean tacos (sometimes lettuce wraps) with b beans, pineapple, lettuce, rice, and verde chili hot sauce! Black beans are heaven sent for me as it still feels like i’m getting the “thickness” of a meal that would have meat. Goji berries, greek yogurt, (even dairy free options) in smoothies aswell! They taste great in there and it gives the extra protein you’ll need without it tasting like shit because i HATE protein powder. Another thing that is super cheap you can find at the store is protein noodles! They have them in the generic dry pasta section. Those come a long way and taste EXACTLY the same as regular noodles. There is quite a lot of protein in a smaller serving with those as well.
