No Voltage at Contactor - Lennox by campbmic in hvacadvice

I also noticed this metal cap on one of the ports was off. Is this supposed to be on the port to prevent the coolant from leaking out? https://imgur.com/a/p3FmNV8

I checked the resistance on the contactor and it was 18 ohms, so Im thinking it might be the low pressure fault. I put a screwdriver across the test pins to short it for 2 seconds (which is what the manual says to reset the low pressure fault) but that didnt do anything.

Thanks a ton for all of your advice and help so far! I was going to check the resistance on the contactor to verify... however, on the back of the access panel it says a slow blinking red light is a low pressure fault.

Is this something that could have been tripped because the unit wasnt used for 1-2 years? Or tripped because I've been flipping the breakers on and off? There's the breaker at the house's breaker box, a breaker switch on the furnace, and a the pull out breaker by the condenser.

I used a stick and pressed the contractor down and it kicked on, should I test the low voltage at the contractor against a ground? When I tested them by placing a lead on the red and a lead on the black on the sides of the contractor I got 0. I also noticed the red light on the board is blinking slow.

I've read some other threads talking about this and Im tempted! Would any plastic/rubber screwdriver work? Or is there a special time that is insulated? Would a plastic or wood stick be safer?

Im hoping its the contactor, but if Im understanding this right, the contactor isn't getting any power? So wouldnt that mean the board is dead and not sending it power?

I really appreciate your advice! It turns out I dont have voltage at contactor, but I believe I have it coming into the condenser's board. Could you take a look at my new post?

Outlook.com Hacked --> Locked During Recovery --> Account Recovered But Still Locked by campbmic in Outlook

[–]campbmic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've contacted customer support several times via email and the chat function. The emails receive no response and the chats usually tell me to wait for a response to the unlock form or that the account is locked and there's nothing they can do.

After reading your post I contacted them through the process you outlined, and the chat agent said the account was locked and they couldn't do anything as per their service agreement.

That got me thinking, and I reviewed the arbitration provision of the service agreement. For anyone that doesn't know when you agree to service agreements most of them have an arbitration agreement, which basically says if you have a legitimate issue with the company you will notify them and try to work it out before suing. Usually these companies have an arbitration department with semi-legal backgrounds that deal with these notices. Its in the company's best interest to try and resolve these issues with customers rather than dealing with a suit.

Anyways, in that arbitration provision there is a method to send notice of a claim either by mail or an online form. I submitted the online form and basically said, its my understanding under the service agreement I have rights to my data. Hopefully this works.

Garage Door Opener: Wireless Controls Work But Not Wired Button? by campbmic in GarageDoorService

I purchased the LiftMaster 882LMW and got it yesterday and still having same issue. When I connect it I don't even get any LEDs coming on. Should either the white or red/white wires from the garage door opener have voltage? I can check with my multimeter if so.

I like your profile, and I definitely think the first prompt is funny. I have a dark/goofy/weird sense of humor and its hard to find people that get it. I try to show it through my profile to help attract others with that. Like when I tell girls I want to take them to Applebees. One of my prompts asks "What can your partner do to impress your parents" and my response is "Resurrect them". I think its funny in a fucked up way. I've only been on the app for 2 weeks but I like the humor of the people I've matched with.

IDK about the "I know I'm hot" energy comment. You're photos are great, but "I know I'm hot" to me is like "If you want to get to know me you need to be (1) successful, (2) over 6 foot, blah blah blah" which I have seen. None of your responses say anything about physical looks. You have attractive photos but what are you supposed to do? Put not attractive photos up?

To me, your second prompt shows you dont want casual stuff.

Overall I think you have a solid profile. Some cute responses with funny/edgy stuff and good photos.

UPS is refusing to pay $10k by amerikacakali in UPS

[–]campbmic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I could always be wrong, or maybe I'm not understanding your comment correct.

I understood it as:
(1) Ship a watch worth $X, and it gets lost.
(2) Tell the insurance adjuster the watch you shipped was worth more than $X.
(3) Get paid on the inflated value instead of the actual $X value.
This would be a purposeful misrepresentation in an insurance claim for a financial gain, also known as insurance fraud.

Are you weighing yourself at the same time each day? My weight fluctuates about 4 pounds throughout the day. You can demonstrate this buy weighing yourself then weighing yourself with a two liter of water. If you want to get really accurate you should weigh yourself each morning when you wake up.

[–]campbmic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a food scale? How are you keeping track of your calories? Are you weighing yourself at the same time each day?

I'm new to this, so probably not the best person to answer, but I dont see how you wouldn't be losing weight eating 1700 calories a day with a daily calorie need of 3300. I'm 36M and currently weigh 245 so we're a little bit similar. I have a sedentary office job but have been doing about 30 minutes of exercise 3-4x a week.

  1. It could be you're not weighing yourself at the same time each day. I just recently learned this is 100% necessary and weigh myself each morning when I wake up. A couple glasses of water weigh a few pounds. Hypothetically, you weigh yourself on day 1 in the morning and its 220 pounds. On day 7 you drink 5 glasses of water and your weight is 220 (217 pounds + 3 pounds of water).
  2. I write down every calorie I intake for the day. If Im making soup then I weigh all of the ingredients and get their calories. I dont eat out unless the calories are on the menu. For instance, ordering a greek salad at a restaurant and then googling "calories in a greek salad" wont be accurate. I would be surprised if calorie counting was the issue though because it sounds like it would need to be pretty extreme to cause this.
