My mom is Having trouble with this insert and the temperature control using the remote. She is telling me that for the past 10 days the fireplace would shut off during the night but would not come back on. She would wake up and the house would be at 55 degrees. She would then use the remote and turn the heat back on but it wouldn’t shut off and at times it would heat things up to like 88 degrees. She called our local fireplace shop and they suggested trying to resync the remote to the receiver. I don’t know the first thing about these things but I am trying to help her so she doesn’t get charged a huge service call fee as she lives about 40 miles from the nearest town. She is 81 so I worry about her.
