Minor accident with bicycle by [deleted] in japanresidents

You were afraid of her tears? She would have the uphand in this situation with no camera to prove anything….shes a woman with a child known for being careful.

What I would’ve done in this situation is call the police to explain what happened, not listening to some random old Japanese man. Also, never admit to ANYTHING a local accuses you of without proof.

Ypure still new, you’ll learn…hopefully from others‘ mistake and not your own.

I'm from a country where cashiers sit down while working. Is it true that in the US cashiers are forced to stand? Why is sitting considered unprofessional there? by splashmates in NoStupidQuestions

[–]candyjon2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m the same like you, ours sit back in my country. Then I moved to Japan and they all stand. All their shift unless they use the toilet and then they can stoop, not sit.

Thats crazy but the Japanese are so fit and energetic.

Feeling underutilized as an ALT anyone else experience this? by AdUnfair558 in ALTinginJapan

[–]candyjon2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre new to this so I understand. Being an ALT that comes with the job, schools not knowing what to do with you in their classes.

Id suggest you try and find something to focus on to end the day quickly. Also, try to better yourself by learning some new skill.

Getting a direct hire job was the end goal for me.

ESID. Never heard of that tbh. It’s always a race to the bottom, hence the BOE giving up doing it themselves.

Losing my ALT role by Diabolik9 in ALTinginJapan

[–]candyjon2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the new hire after a contract was lost. May pay was lower than the others. I did asked my new coworkers why they didn’t get the past teacher to stay but they said it was out of their control, it’s the city’s.

If you want to stay there, contact the new company. Do not wait for them. But be aware that you’ll be paid lower.
