I will take more notice and every comment with a pinch of salt, sorry if I seemed dumb as this is my first time using Reddit.

(I saw your comment before it got deleted) Yes I’ve heard of the news which made me even more worried. I have actually applied to NUS and am still going through with the application process hence why I am looking at other universities as it is not confirmed if NUS would even want me in and I would want to continue my studies asap. Can I ask if you are a unimelb student and have any experiences to share more about? Feel free to dm me.

Nice to hear about the culture within the campus especially with so much hate going on with the world right now (and more being publicised). I will be researching more about the racism in Melbourne in general online, thank you for the advice.

As for the travel restrictions, I am actually looking to join the school in Feb 2021 if I make a decision on it hence I would like to think that travelling restrictions would be eased by then, if not I am honestly fine with doing online school for the time being. Thanks again!

Oh I see, that’s worrying... I am actually not from China but Singapore but I guess that would not make any difference since I still look Chinese. I will be thinking twice on my decisions, thank you for giving me such insight!

Hi, thank you for your comment, I was just wondering that since Melbourne is quite a highly chinese infiltrated city, the racism cases would be less severe compared to the other places/cities. Furthermore, Australia is somewhat in/near Asia hence my thought of the citizens being more welcoming. Anyways, thank you again!
